  I believe the organization is trying but they are behind the times on technology. Their app seems to only be useful within Credit Union accounts. The website, which does show external links, does not necessarily link. In order to make a principal payment to a credit union auto loan, I was told it cannot be done through external account, but only external, to savings or checking then a principal payment towards loan. The entire user experience is clunky, not to mention they have limited locations and limited hours. I’ve moved most of my money elsewhere. I hope to update this in years to come!

It’s worth mentioning that most banks are unable to accept external payments that apply to the principal of a loan only.   Thank you Armco for helping a young person like myself get an amazing APR rate on an auto loan! I can now continue to build my credit and do so more affordably. I did my entire application online and it was fast and easy to understand, and any questions I had the ladies on the phone were very happy to explain. I will forever be recommending Armco to all my friends and family.

  The bank's customer service and debit card are little to be desired. If you travel outside of Pennsylvania, its a nightmare to use their bankcard, because the bank suspends your bankcard if used outside of Pennsylvania. The tell you to call them to have it opened up for the state, which you are traveling. Why call, when the customer service is attitude? I have had my card suspended many times. It's not a huge problem if it's suspended during normal banking hours, but they generally suspended the card on Friday nights or the weekends or long holidays, when you attempt to make a purchase outside of Pennsylvania. If the card is suspended during long weekends, one will go days until the bank reopens to have the card reinstated. I have had multiple conversations with the teller phone staff and managers at the credit union pertaining this issue. I was provided false information, if the bank opens the card for all 50 states, the bank assumes no responsibility for fraud and I unable to dispute transactions. First of all, the card has the Master Card logo on it. They are contractually obligated to honor Master Cards fraud and dispute policies. After multiple conversations, the bank opened up the card for US states. It should not be a fight nor difficult. Another issue, people, who I grew up with, work at the bank and the gossip travels around all of Butler County, so everyone knows your financial business. The only good thing, which I have seen from this financial institution are the low interest rates, which is why I gave the bank a two star rating. If the customer service was better and the debit card wasn't a hassle, the bank would have received a full 5 star review. Also, the credit union should consider incorporating the debit card with Apple Pay.

We recently upgraded our debit cards and fraud detection servicing while continuing to look for ways to better service card members while exposing them to as little risk as possible. Our debit card network provides a service that monitors accounts for fraudulent activity. This is meant to help protect our members and provide an additional layer of security. Some states have a higher propensity of fraud than others so cards are more likely to be flagged when used in certain states. We do regularly remind our members to contact us when they leave the state so that their service is not disrupted. We are more concerned that you feel your privacy has been breached. This is a very serious accusation and we urge you to discuss your situation directly with any member of our senior management team or board member. Our staff is well trained and many protocols are in place to ensure confidentiality. We are committed to making sure all members have a positive experience so we appreciate your feedback.

  The people at armco credit union are wonderful and they treat you with a smile. I would highly recommend this credit union to my friends.they treat youlike your family they say hi how are you doing. If your looking for a great credit union. To do your banking at this is the best place to go.

  I find the Armco Employees Credit Union the best and only place to bank. The employees are considerate, thorough and have always kept my business confidential. Over the years my loans were approved in a timely manner and the payroll deductions always made my payments affordable. I have nothing but admiration for the employees and would consider banking nowhere else. Keep up your fine services. I wish you continued growth in the community.
