Di Viaggio1I have been a credit union member for the past two years with no issues whatsoever. Last week I called their customer service and asked if they offered notary services, and they said yes, no appointment was needed. I just had to go there during business hours. On Friday, 06/24, I drove 40min from home to this location to get the documents I needed notarized. I had to wait for a couple of minutes until someone could assist. Armando, one of their representatives, came and asked what I needed to notarize. I explained it was some documents for my mortgage company; he said they only notarize employment verifications and other sorts of paper. He went to ask his manager to double-check, and he came back out with the same information. He said I could go to an attorney's office or somewhere that offers notary services like UPS. My problem is the waste of my time. I drove almost an hour for this and called in advance to avoid this from happening. When I called, no one mentioned this. Another thing to mention, if your bank offers this kind of “notary service,” it’s a joke. They act like they are lawyers validating documents. Notaries are only validating signatures. That’s it! I ended up going to UPS; it was done in minutes, and they asked for my ID and filled out the form I had. It bothers me when institutions like this say they offer you these services so they can get your business, but when you are going to use it, they bring in a different meaning of what they meant by offering it.

patrick withrow1We put $2250 into their ATM and the machine only counted $1750. We tried to communicate with the bank to give us our missing $500 but they essentially called us liars and refused to help us. Regarding their reply, no one has reached out yet with any willingness to solve this issue. An update, after months of talking around in circles the bank has reiterated that they will steal your money and will find all manner of excuse to avoid taking any accountability.

Andy Hong2I’ve been a member for almost 10 years and although they offer great rates and incentives whenever you need something beyond your standard banking needs (getting a loan for example) it’s impossible to get in touch with anyone or have someone call you back. On several occasions I’ve applied for a loan, had them run my credit and get approved only to not have anyone follow up with me or help me finish the process. This has caused me to go with different businesses/companies over the years for all my other financial needs. Ironically for a business to say “we’re with you” on their homepage they haven’t really been there for me.

Samantha Saunders3Customer Service is horrible!! I have been with them for over 15 years and it has completely gone down the drain with in these last couple of years. The two staff I encountered here were condescending and rude. I will call half the time I'm lucky ill get a call back. I have called over the last couple of months with two different situations and it still hasn't got fixed. The one I spoke with recently said he would talk with his manager about my situation. When I asked when he would call back he told me I would maybe call you back after lunch because my lunch time is in 15 minutes. Did I get a call? No..so I called again another young man was condescending and after he told he wasn't willing to help or address the situation. Told me well get a good night rest can't help you. Update: I did get a call to resolve the situation. I recommended for there staff to get customer service training as well. The women I spoke with were very nice I seem to only have issues with the men. It was told to me they were spoken to. Thank you to the manager for solving the situation and the young lady who helped me fix the other situation. I updated to 3 stars due to the women who were nice in helping me.

Juan Chavez1I have all types of accounts with Arlington Credit Union. I can honestly say they are no longer a great community bank. Arlington County employees should stay clear, their customer service and staff are no longer too notch. It’s ridiculous that you have to wait days to get a loan even look at, or to even receive a phone call. They are horrible.

It truly shows that the credit union is focused on exceeding its members expectations through the products they offer and their customer service. I have been a member for over 6 years and continue to be impressed. The mobile banking platform is one of the best I've seen and I can do just about everything without driving to a branch. I've referred three friends/family members since joining and they were just as impressed. Keep up the great work!

I have never had a problem with them. the staff is always courteous and professional and their services are much better than the banks that are too big to fail.

Nejwa Ali1Working with Nancy Sundstrom was a nightmare. It was like pulling teeth in order to get information or understand if she processed my application. I had to send a document 4-5 times to her in order for her to finally process it. I told her I was hoping to complete this application ASAP but she just did not care about that and barely responded to me. And then the branch manager James Wade never explained the requirements for qualifying for the 2.99% interest rate, and I learned about them only after I applied for the loan and they ran my credit report -that was a huge disappointment.

Peter Slonina5My wife and I joined ACFCU after we got married to merge our household financials. We were both disenchanted with totally corrupt commercial banking institutions (e.g., BOA, Wells Fargo). We couldn't be happier with the quality of service and the personal feel of this bank. Frankly, it's a little strange to enter a bank and feel so comfortable with the staff; I actually trust the advice and support - go figure, what a novel idea when dealing with your money. Since joining, we've establishing a variety of accounts all with extremely great rates - AND, I'm confident I'm not getting slammed with hidden fees like BOA.
