  Excellent customer service coupled with a knowledgeable and personable loan originator! Being a first time home buyer I was apprehensive to buy a new house but Troy & his team made the experience pleasant & hassle-free. He worked directly with my realtor (Crystal Gober) which made everything much easier. I would highly recommend AmeriFirst Home Mortgage in Traverse City for all your mortgage and refinancing needs.

  I've worked with Troy and his team on two different occasions now. Both of these experiences ended in successful (and timely) closings. Most recently Troy helped me refinance my home. Troy, Katie, and Debbie of Amerifirst could not have been easier to work with. They answered all of my questions (which there were many) in a timely, professional, and helpful manner. The entire experience truly felt like they were here to help. Troy is also competitive and will do his best to give his clients the best possible outcome for their scenario.   Troy and his team did an absolutely amazing job with my home mortgage. Troy went above and beyond to ensure all my questions were answered and he always did so in a very timely and professional fashion. He truly made me feel at ease with the process and I had full trust in him that he always had my best interest in mind. I cannot say enough good things about him and my transaction with Amerifirst. I am also in the customer service and finance world and hold my personal transactions with businesses, to a very high standard.   Troy/Katie/Debbie were fantastic. We were first time home buyers with a very unique situation but they handled everything in stride. They were very responsive, answered all of our questions thoroughly, and took the time to explain things to us so we understood them. We highly recommend the Amerifirst team and we will be going back to them over and over again!

  Flat out, great experience. I’ve bought a multitude of homes in my life and this process was one of the most streamlined purchases I have ever been a part of. My realtor gave me a few suggestions for lenders but she noted Troy and his team were top notch. His loan assistant Debbie is a rockstar and kept me in the loop multiple times per week. I could have easily gone with a Rocket Mortgage for “cheapest fees/rates” but I know for sure I would not have had as pleasant of any experience that I had with these folks. Well worth giving them a call. Thanks!

  For us, finding a mortgage lender was all about the numbers to start. Who can get us the best interest rate? We were referred to Troy at Amerifirst and he not only did he say he could get us a low rate, he came through and held it at that low rate until the day we closed. Bonus, working with Troy means you get to work with Debbie too. She is a magician... helping us track down the information we need, having to ask the uncomfortable questions in a kind and patient way, and quickly responding to our slew of questions. Bonus, even after everything was finalized I STILL had questions, Troy was quick to pick up the phone and walk me through the answer and helped me understand how it all works at a more granular level. Getting a mortgage is a super invasive process, there is no doubt about that...but this power packed duo at Amerifirst makes it smooth! You won't need to shop lenders if you just start here first... excellent experience from start to finish.

  Troy was referred to me by a friend after she purchased a home with Amerifirst and was extremely happy with her experience. I will be closing on a home in 2 days and the process from start to finish has been seamless. Troy and his team have educated and supported me throughout every single step.   Honest, knowledgeable, professional, informative, fun (yes, even during the home-buying process!), Troy was fantastic to work with. My husband and I were first time home buyers in need of a VA loan and Troy was able to make the process very quick and easy.
