  I am closing my account because you said that you would be closed for something called juneteenth. It sounds like a word that a child would come up with. That's what I should expect from a stone age culture.

  The Kailua Kona Branch parking lot is horrid so I always go after hours and use the ATM because they removed the option to deposit checks at the Sac N Save ATM. the new location only has ONE which is out of order!! You would think they could install two ATMs since they own the entire building but Nooo. Why did they get rid of the Sac n Save ATM where you could deposit checks? And why they moved the branch to this horrible location is beyond me! I've always loved American Savings Bank but I hate this location and avoid it like the plague.

  This is the best bank in town. The service is fast. The tellers are professional and courteous. It’s a pleasure to do business with American Savings Bank.

  49 years old. Worst bank I’ve ever experienced. 900.00 in over draft fees that were based on pennies(seriously one to three cents) It was a mistake by my teen daughter and not caught by me for several months after moving off island. A refusal by the bank to work with me on it. Terrible!!

  One of the best banks I have yet been with. This particular branch had sort of a weary start with customer service being palatable to terrible, however they have come a long way and have since gained an awesome team always happy and willing to serve their members. Another plus, this beautifully appointed building in the heart of Kailua-Kona :)

  I have had nothing but great customer service at this bank. Great hours. Friendly people. You the people posting negative reviews... all I can say is just because your too broke ars' to keep an account ballance don't go blaming the bank. Not there fault you to dumb to understand fees and overdrafts.

  I absolutely love this Bank best customer service and very helpful. I have the mobile app which is also amazing. I have nothing negative to say except maybe lowering the amount you have to keep in you savings from $300 to $50 other than that love everything

  Love that they are open 7 days a week. They do nickel and dime you for things an example would be they make you pay $20 for replacement debit cards. I had the magnetic strip wear our on my card 3 times and had to pay $60 for replacement cards.

  I wouldn't even give this bank 1 star. They don't care about their clients or about service. Long wait lines and NOTHING IS FREE not even a printed copy of your statement is free. I am closing my account immediately. BANK OF HAWAI'I is the way to go!
