  We opened a business account with this bank and they have been nothing but great, starting with the VP Anne and down. Today we set up our banking login and ran into a few snips. Justin Alvarado Assistant Branch Manager helped me over the phone. He was patient, kind, considerate and most importantly after a while solved my problem. I have delt with many banks and they never have the patience to help you. American Bank you have an ACE with Justin Alvarado. As I told him he was thebomb.com!!!! Thank you American Bank for great service!!

  I called to inquire about home equity loan options. After two tries, I was successfully transferred to Kim. While she had a friendly voice, she had absolutely zero interest in answering a few questions that I had, to help determine if American Bank and a Home Equity Loan was the right choice for me. I had three simple questions and by the time I got to the third question, it was quite clear that her coffee was getting cold. Since their rates looked good, online, I put Kim aside and reached out to the Branch Manager, as her phone number was listed on a previous Google review response from a few months ago. I called Ann and left a message, yesterday, and she has yet to return my call. Not a bank that I'd want to do business with. I'm giving them two stars for the friendly voices.

  I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Manny from American Bank to any of my family or friends for their mortgage needs. Manny answered our many questions very quickly and was always available for anything we needed. Closing was a breeze, we even closed a few days early and everything was perfect.

  If I could give zero stars, I would. I've been with this bank for years as has my family, but to call it a customer service department is a disservice to every person who has ever tried to help anyone. They are rude, pushy, and at the best of times, monotone. So if you're joining a smaller, "family" run bank for the customer service, keep looking. Currently "the average wait time is one minute", yet no one answered the phone to direct and I've been on hold for 15. Just sad.

  I've been an online account holder since their early days, of perhaps 15 years. Have visited the bank but once as I live about 4 hours away near Albany, NY., and state unequivocally AMBK provides the most professional, accurate, and caring service I have experienced in 50 years of banking.

  Me and my wife where looking to open some CD we met with Veena very knowledgeable and friendly. We ended up also opening up a savings account she informed us that they have a 2.2% interest until April. Locally owned seams more personal. We will definitely do more business there. Thanks Veena.

  My husband and I had a wonderful experience at this bank,are representative Veena was so nice and helpful.we opened two CD's and a interest bearing savings account.This bank has the highest rates on there accounts by far( 2.2 ) not a bad rate!

  I recently was involved with a fraud situation on my American Bank account. The handling and resolution by the Bank Staff was outstanding. Thank You to all who helped to rectify the issue.

  Unfortunately like someone said in earlier review the best thing about this bank is the building. Customer service is not.
