      Doesn't have the 'name' recognition of another CU in the area but superior in every possible way. Better rates, better service, way more responsive, and easier to deal with. If you are new to town and looking for a CU, try Altra first.

      We've been with Altra CU for quite a few years and have always enjoyed great service. We appreciate that there's never any surprise fees so often associated with financial institutions. I recently told the team at Altra that I was always able to get promotional piggy banks for my older grandchildren when they were little but am no longer able to find them for the recent arrivals. A week later I received an email from Dusty at the Rochester branch letting me know he had acquired a couple for me and had them waiting for pickup. That is above and beyond! Thank you!

      I have only been with Altra for a few months now and every experience I have had with them has been wonderful! Excellent customer service from every staff member, great rates on loans and CDs, the bankers I've dealt with gave me all the information I needed upfront and honestly. Which is less than I can say for other banks I have worked with. Narcisa in particular was super friendly, patient, and helpful with me while I was going through the process a financing a car for the first time! I love this credit union and have been telling anyone who will listen about how awesome they are!

      I've banked with Altra FCU since they came into the Rochester market and they have always been extremely professional and easy to deal with.
