Allegiance Title Insurance Reviews

Sharon Bailey5Casi is the greatest. We were dealing with a very difficult seller, one who refused to go to closing two days before and became more difficult the next day. If not for my husband and Casi’s hard work, I was ready to sue for breach of contract. Instead, we closed on time and now own our beautiful home on the water. Both of us are so grateful we found Allegience and highly recommend their services.

Karen G1This title company made an error in the closing, giving a tax credit to the buyer that should have been given to us, the seller. They refuse to rectify the situation and won’t give us a refund of the money they deducted from our proceeds. As a result, we had to pay taxes on the property twice.
Response from the ownerSorry you feel that way Karen, but you asked for the refund of the tax that should have been handled as a tax is handled when a new parcel is taken from a master tract. If you want to give someone a bad review maybe you can give one to the county who won’t give a bill to the buyer in their name. You should have let it be handled the way it is normally done and the buyers lender would have paid the entire bill. They tax whoever owns the property as of January 1 of the tax year and will not split a bill during the middle of the year. We had it set up for the lender to keep the credit in escrow and the rest of the buyers payments to the escrow would had paid the bill when it was due. I have been doing this 16 years and it is always handled the way I did it and the entire bill gets paid by the purchasers lender with the seller credit and the buyers escrow. You insisted it get handled differently for you and now the treasurer puts in emails that there is not a bill for the new parcel during that tax year because it didn’t exist January 1. So the treasurer saying there isn’t a bill for the new parcel and then verbally telling you there is one isn’t enough. If there is a bill for the new parcel they need to set it out that way. I know they don’t do that so that is why I set it up the way I did to begin with
