  I would rather have stored my money in a Ponzi Scheme with a known thief who is incarcerated in their mattress than use Alerus for anything. I mean anything. I wouldn't use their bathroom if it was offered for safety in a zombie apocalypse. This is top of the list of worst companies, worst customer service, worst everything. I can confidently tell you, I hate this business and how they practice every single aspect.

  Having been a client of Private Bank Minnesota (purchased by Alerus years ago) for many years, and Alerus since the takeover, I can say with absolute certainty that Alerus is the worst financial institution I have ever dealt with. And they have the worst website, worst customer service, and seem to think that paper checks by snail mail is state-of-the-art banking.

  Very unprofessional. They don't answer questions, emails. They don't do their jobs making sure your home purchase will close on time. Terrible communication and excuses and lies on delays. Do not use this company, nothing will get done in time. If you want to lose months of time and money, go here.
