  This bank gives me problems all the time, they deactivated my debit card for no reason at all or dont want to tell me why. I also have a debit card that’s not even linked to my account, now I have to wait until 9am! To get this taking care of and I have bills to pay. 9am! Why does this bank open so late. They used to open at 7am and be open 7 days a week, and now another bank merged with them, I’m kinda concerned that this bank is going under. Need more locations too. This bank is very inconvenient. Let’s review, open at 9am! not open 7 days a week any more, not a lot of locations, they deactivate debit cards without notifying the customer, they link a debit card to your account that you don’t have, and the worst their after hours customer service reps are not with TCF, they use a third party agency that don’t know what your talking about, TCF, why should customers use your bank? TCF very very inconvenient!

  Banking there 6 months and I usually don't have any issues. However, this past Friday I pulled some cash out of my account and was issued a fake $50 bill. I wasn't aware of it until I went to a merchant and was told my money was no good. To their credit my money was exchanged, but the branch manager gave me a condescending attitude and tried to deny any wrong doing on the part of the branch. Either they are incompetent or shady, either way I'm taking my money out of there. It may seem like an overreaction, but I could have been in serious trouble. I opened the account to avoid monthly fees, but I will gladly pay them to never be put in that position again.

  This bank is the worse bank ever. Bad customer service, not willing to work with you if you get fees. Also highest fees I have ever seen. I do not recommend getting an account with this bank. Not only that they are few and far between. They are not a lot of branches. They break promises and do not follow through on products and services that were promised. I had to give them one star, but to be honest if I could give them zero stars I would definately have done so. DO NOT BANK WITH THIS COMPANY. THE WORST.

  UNAUTHORISED ACCOUNTS OPENED without my permission! I was a TCF member when Alaska USA bought them out. They opened 3 accounts in my name unbeknownst to me and an account in my child's name! They also do not tell you about the FEES associated with those accounts! I smell a Wells Fargo scam going on here! Luckily I asked questions and caught it! Do NOT bank here people!

During the conversion of TCF Bank’s Arizona branches to Alaska USA, TCF customers were given the option to consent to membership with Alaska USA or continue banking with TCF.   I just signed up with this bank. They have a lot of convenience features right inside the bank i.e. coin counting, a stamp machine and document shredding. So far so good. Polite.

  I wouldn’t even give this bank 1 star do not bank with them they will steal your money you supposed to think your monney safe but with tcf bank your money is not stay clear of this place they have stolen over 1000 from me don’t trust this bank

  Used to be open seven days a week, early and late. Not anymore. Great customer service usually, but that's about the only upside of this bank
