I went to this office today and they solved all the issues and questions that I had very fast. I recommend going with Mr. Angulo, he was incredibly efficient and very nice as well!

      Response from the owner

Thank you so much for your review, Paula! We are grateful for the opportunity to serve as your credit union.

I have used this bank while I was a student at Texas A&M. It has since been 1.5 years since I moved out of Texas and they still have not fulfilled my application to close my account and credit card. I have filled two different applications and no response so far. I still keep getting renewed credit cards etc when I only simply want to close the account and associated cards. EDIT: I was contacted immediately after posting the review and was able to quickly finalize the procedure to close my accounts within a matter of days.

      Response from the owner

TL;DR: I strongly advise against working with this financial institute. I am unable to get approved for credit cards despite my 750+ score because of a mistake they refused to correct. I have a credit card with them. Two years ago they decided to update their web system which meant my auto pay was canceled without notice and I had to re-create my login information. I lived outside of Texas at the time, so I didn't have access to a physical branch. I tried calling their tech support which had hours long waits to no avail. At the same time they sent me in mail that they have cancelled my card and that I will be receiving a new card. I never received the replacement card in mail. So I have no card number, no online dashboard, and no customer support. After a month they reported delinquency on my credit for my $10 balance and charged me $170 of late fees. The main reason to work with a credit union is a good customer support. I have not seen any of that from this institute. If you are trying to build credit, I suggest looking into other creditors or getting a secured card. Do not repeat my mistake.

This has been one of my most frustrating mornings I have ever had! My card was closed because of fraudulent charges, I was told in that department to contact a certain phone number to order a new one. The last 45 minutes I have been talking to machines. Finally got a real person at the University Bank and she promised when she transferred me I would get a real person....nope! Got another "listen carefully as our options have changed" and then the press 1,2,3,4,5,6,76,8,9. This is the worse customer help I have EVER had. And I still can't order a new card.

      Response from the owner

Hey Jon/Gary! Please email us at [email protected] with a good phone number to reach you and we'll have someone from the department reach out to you ASAP!

Friendly customer service does not make up for careless mistakes, terrible business hours, and an online banking platform pulled straight from the 90's. I switched banks, and closed my Aggieland Credit Union account. Three weeks later I get a letter saying that my account was not closed after all, and I have been charged overdraft fees; but I have no online access to remedy the situation. This bank is just the pinnacle of inefficiency. Go with a national bank. Do NOT bank here.

      Response from the owner

Hello Michael, thank you for your review. After investigating your situation further, we noticed that during your transition of going from one financial institution to another, you were still doing transactions with your Aggieland Credit Union account which caused an overdraft. Due to the overdraft, we were unable to close your account until it was at an acceptable balance. Would you like us to contact you today to further explain the situation? Please, let us know and we will be glad to do so! Thanks again and have a great day!

So I went to someone I assumed to be a banker at the university Drive, CS location, sometime last year and talked to him about a refinancing my car. I clearly told him that I applied for a refinance a few weeks before and was declined and wanted to apply through them but you know what this man did? Made me to open an account with them and applied right away for a refinancing and of course it was declined again. I was frustrated because I didn't know how the system works and of course I need to lower my 22% interest rate on my car. Only when I went to Bank of America did the banker ask me when last I applied, I said about 2 weeks ago and she advised me not to apply again until after at least 6 months, the longer I wait before reapplying, the better. Not only will I likely get declined but it hurts my credit each time I apply. I was so mad, I just felt like crying because the guy at the aggieland union knew this but he forced me to open an account saying I can't apply if I don't have an account. How about you tell me that If I applied about 2 weeks ago, and try to apply again constantly, it'll hurt my credit and I still will be less likely to get the assistance I needed? A lot of students do not know how this works and it's unfair to take advantage of them to meet your sales goals or whatever..

I have been going to this Credit Union Branch (At University Dr.) for many years. They have always been very nice to me, I have no complains whatsoever, to the contrary. As time passes, and I continue going there and using their services, especially the online that I use daily, I like these people more and more. The previous manager was wonderful to me, then she went to another town. The current one, Mary, is the best person ever. She was a teller for many years. Everybody talks to her and she to them. She is kind, knowledgeable, just the sweetest person. Jacob, one of the tellers, there are three, is a wonderful young man, who could not be gentler and kinder, so is Amy. They know me by name. They also know that I truly appreciate each one of them. People need to remenber though that relationships are a two-way street! Wherever you go, do not forget to "treat others as you'd like to be treated!" daisy gualberto

Unpleasant, Unprofessional and inefficient. The current teller supervisor should not be allowed to deal with customers.
