Robin Kersey1Zero stars. I am a recent widow and the minute I reported my husbands death they transferred all my interactions from customer service to an attorney. Payment was current, and even in an effort to pay off the loan I was met with complications. Distressing…Shameful.
Response from the ownerHi Robin! We're sorry to hear about your situation. Please reach out to Jason Holmes at 503-785-2589 to discuss further at your convenience. Thanks!

Mike P1Update 9/29/2020: After nearly 3 months, my refinance ordeal is over. I was asked for a credit card to order the appraisal after underwriting finally getting to my file. I asked for a rate lock first, only to find rates had jumped to nearly what my current rate is. So, no idea if they'd even let me lock prior to paying for an appraisal. They need to figure out how to get to a place where they can process an application faster and allow rate locks up front. ********** It's been over 2 months since I applied for a mortgage refinance. I gathered all the requested documents, followed up to inquiries, and I have not been given the final approval from underwriting to lock an interest rate yet. Apparently, they have only two underwriters for the entire credit union. If you want to get a mortgage with them, ask them about how long it is currently taking to lock a rate and make sure to shop with another credit union or broker. They may be the one of the cheapest, but who knows where rates will be 2+ months down the road.

clint jennings2Advantis is a great bank if you don't want access to the money you transferred and it shows online is sitting in your account. Or, if you want to wait a week for transactions to get posted to your account, or if you want them to put the wrong amount on the check they write you for a vehicle loan. Other than that very friendly staff (except for the person who processed my loan) just wish the electronic services were faster. Isn't that the point of them being electronic?

Ryan Brown5We've been members for nearly 5 years and have had nothing but positive experiences with Advantis Credit Union. This specific branch is the one that is closest to our home. We were introduced to Advantis when financing the purchase of a car through a dealership. Advantis had the best terms of any financial institution at the time. We recently refinanced our home through Advantis, great terms, great customer service again. Finally, we just completed the purchase of a used vehicle with a loan through Advantis. They arranged all of the registration paperwork as well as the loan paperwork flawlessly. The seller of our new vehicle was expecting to spend a lot more than 30 minutes it actually took. I highly recommend you take your money (and loans!) away from the big banks and give your local credit unions a look. Advantis Credit Union is a good place to start.

Adrian1Long story short I've had multiple lines of credit with Advantis and the only thing consistent about their service is that every single transaction was riddled with errors on their part, confusing rules, and a complete disregard for my financial well-being. When I first bought my car they gave me incorrect registration instructions and charged me the same $77 I had just paid the state to update the title. They had me sign the wrong documents at the branch so I had to go back and sign corrected copies. Recently Portland's potholes damaged 2 of my wheels and tires just months from my wedding so I decided to roll the cost into my auto loan to spread it out and potentially use gift money after the event. After a week and a half of back and forth they insisted they pay a shop directly for the wheels despite a $452 markup on the part. When I found another shop with more reasonable pricing they pulled out of the loan entirely claiming it was suspicious of me to 'change the terms' and that it was suspicious the invoice was for the same list of things I had simply wanted cash out to pay for (seems obvious that the shop would invoice me for the things I asked them to fix but this was apparently too hard for their underwriter to comprehend). Now they outright refuse to even do the $452 markup invoice they had previously been ok with. Now I'm out over a week of my time, and I'm still forced to drive an unsafe car. Advantis does not know how to run a bank simple as that, I thought using a credit union would mean for more personalized service but it really just means they're too small to know what they're doing. Don't trust these people with your money like I did there are plenty of other well rated better establishments out there.

eric ulrich1Probably the worst credit union to go through and I would not recommend them to anyone!! After being a great customer of theirs for almost 2 years I tried to refinance my vehicle and after re checking my credit and dropping it dramatically just to tell me that they would re finance me at almost double the current interest rate I was already at!! They do not value customers!! Never missed a payment and have never been late on a payment!! Congratulations Advantis credit for losing a valued customer!!!!

M.G Ghabra5I just would like to thank Stephanie Alvarez from Advantis Credit Union for her excellent customer service and superb effectiveness and efficiency. She gave us a great service and products with a wonderful smile all the time. She is very passionate, personal, dedicated and confident about what she is doing. We are very happy with her and the service we got and more likely we will be back to see her again and recommend her to friends and family members. Thank you Stephanie it was a great pleasure doing business with you. This kind of service is kind of rare those days!!!

P Douglas5I have had very good service with Advantis over the past two years since inheriting POA responsibility for elders' finances. I have had a number of grey areas to deal with in depositing, withdrawing and maneuvering funds on their behalf and the staff at the NE Branch has always bent over backwards to help me. I do agree with a previous writer that it would be an improvement to be able to phone an Advantis Branch individually: that has provided me with plenty of frustration in the past, but otherwise they have been great and generous with their time.
Response from the ownerHi Paul! Thank you so much for your feedback. We're glad to hear that you've enjoyed your experience with Advantis, and we will relay your feedback regarding the individual branch phone numbers to our retail team. Thanks for your membership!

Linzee Jablonski1I have never in my life dealt with such hassle for trying to make a payment as I do with this place! I currently have an auto loan through here and every month I have to practically beg them to take my money! If I do a card payment on the phone they charge a 15 dollar convenience fee if I try to pay with a money order they can't provide me my account number to pay them, I live in a different state from this company so I can't just drive to make a payment it's just a mess! Every month is a complete headache and I will be looking for a new company to do business with not to mention the unhelpful staff gets very snappy and does not deal with upset customers well
