  I applied for a loan with this Credit Union and Shelby Hobbs (loan officer) was so helpful! They didn't end up doing the type of loan I needed but overall I was very impressed with the customer service and help from Shelby.

  I’ve been going to Advantage ever since I was a kid and am always happy with their service! Even after moving away for school and work, I always kept my account open with them because they are so friendly and easy to work with. It feels so nice to call in and talk to someone who actually knows who I am and can answer my questions quickly. This is exactly how a hometown credit union should be!

  I have been a member for about 10 years. I have never had any problems with Advantage Credit Union. Staff is always helpful and professional. Loan Officers Ashley Gipe and Paula Van Der Hart are always great to do business with. Even though I moved out of town I keep coming back.

  No better place to do business anywhere, whether personal or business related. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and greets you with a smile. They know my name as I walk through the door, even though I don't go inside very often, as I do most of my transactions at the drive-thru. If you have a problem banking online, give them a quick call and they will fix the problem. I highly recommend Advantage Credit Union.

  Ashley Gipe was wonderful to work with. She has a very caring and eager attitude. She answered any questions I had and you can tell she truly cares about her job and the people she helps. I have worked with her on both an auo refinancing loan and a personal loan and I recommend her to anyone who needs a smiling face and a bit of good news. I also saved about $10,000 in interest on my car loan which is INSANE!

  I have been retailing cars since 2005. I am proud to work at a dealership that has been providing an excellent service and supporting this community since 1981.. I am proud of our community that I have lived my entire life. I try my best to support Newton businesses because I believe "Use It Or You Will Lose It" and Newton has already lost to much. With my beliefs I had been a member of this credit union. I felt like I would rather do my banking with a local Credit Union, rather than some big name national bank that doesn't care about our town, it's businesses or it's residents. So, often times when I sell a car, the customer wants to seek out their own financing and I am always happy to support the customer's choice by getting them any info they will need to help them in applying for a loan (Vehicle Info, Purchase agreement, and etc..) Well this credit union has decided to try to help a rental car company from Des Moines sell their cars by steeling business from one of their own, local businesses that is just trying to survive. I have repeatedly lost business because my customers that wanted to do business with me at Newtons oldest and only family owned dealership left. Instead of supporting a Newton business this credit union has decided to help a dealership that doesn't care anything about our community. Come on Advantage, doesn't Newton have enough outside influences that cost our community so greatly without one of our own attacking another Newton business? This did get longer than I intended. However I did close my account and will do business with a bank that supports Newtons own!

  Thank you for your feedback. We do try to support local businesses. We always put our members' needs first, regardless of where they decide to purchase their automobiles. We welcome local dealers to set up partnerships with us to provide our members with great deals.

  Very friendly staff! I deal with Paula on a daily basis and she makes the loan process SO EASY. I've never had a bad experience. Would recommend Advantage to anyone looking for great rates and easy to work with staff.

  After going through all the horrible car buying experience, ACU made possible for me to get brand new car with the trusted dealership. I definitely recommend this place than any other banks. Thanks to Ashley loan officer for making everything possible.
