A E3** I was contacted this morning by Neil to apologize and try to rectify the situation. Thank you so much for your understanding and effort to make things right with your customers. I have banked with them for years. Never go overdrawn or have issues with my account. I used an account I don't usually do to pay a bill in the evening. Next day I go to deposit money in my account and see a return item fee and my payment had been returned to my account... it had not even been a full business day that my account had been negative but "over drafts have to be proceeded before 11am" and he made " a judgment call to return the item and charge a fee". I was short $30 .... i had money in another account at access bank to cover it. I explained the situation to the manager and nothing he just repeated he manages two branches and he made the judgment call to charge my account. Thankful I can make the judgment call to switch banks.
Response from the ownerWe appreciate your willingness to give us a second chance. Neal knew right away he wanted to make things right for you. Again, thank you for your honest feedback with an opportunity to rectify the matter.

Michael Carpenter1Be careful!! I have been using AccessBank for years and recently something very unsettling occurred and I wanted to make sure I let anybody who might use AccessBank know! Okay let me start from the beginning, the past few months I have been struggling to pay my bills. One of my accounts with AccessBank that is inactive and has an expired card on it had one of my credit card payments go through on it, all good I quickly moved money from my main account to the other account... By the time I had done that, a $35 fee had been charged to the account. Not a big deal I call my local bank and ask if they can remove the fee. They told me they can get me on a call with their manager and she can help me, they told me she will call me the next day. 2 weeks later I get a call from her and she lets me know my account is negative, at the time it was negative about $90, she tells me she will refund the first fee but not the other ones. After telling her I will pay the fees but I'm struggling right now, she didn't really care too much. Then yesterday hits, and I see that my account had a $110 charge to it, they had moved money from one of my accounts to the other account without ever calling me, sending me any notice, or letting me know this was going to happen. I call them, very upset, just to get hung up on by the manager. I am very very upset with the way this bank treats their customers. I am just very happy that I had paid my rent last week, if I hadn't I wouldn't be able to pay my rent this month. So please, be careful! This bank is only in it for the money and not for the customer!

Just Skip1I don't bank here but I come here once a month to deposit money into my landlords account. For the last 6 months now it has been the same weird customer service. Not bad service because what I came for gets done. But the lack of communication from the tellers is astonishing. When I use the drive thru- I get to the teller and nothing is said. No "hello" or "how may I help you?". Just dead air. Finally I just put the money through the tube and hit send. Even after that...nothing. One time I got a, "Hi" and that was after a good 5 minutes of silence. One other time the teller never said a single word. We did the entire transaction in silence. I was amazed. I tried going inside to see if it's any better and the environment was just the same. Overall, the customer service is what I wanted to comment on. Just a lack of positive interactions and communication.

getoffmyhead3Used to be great, especially for customer service. Now, they are increasingly difficult to communicate with. Simple questions are treated as a hassle. They also are not listed on the finance app Mint, which is a minor annoyance, but kind of a pain.
