  Everyone that I spoke with and worked with was amazing. Everyone worked very hard to make sure that our paperwork was processed as quickly and efficiently as possible and we REALLY appreciate that. I felt like everyone I worked with was very knowledgeable and on the ball while also being patient and informative while explaining every step of the process because this was our first home purchase.   Having received Ray Ochoa's service experience in mortgages decades ago, excellence continues to be his result. Upon completing the final steps toward a dual mortgage consolidation and refinance, issues arose concerning an aspect of structural integrity. Ray gathered data and testimony to satisfy underwriting and successfully complete funding of the application. All of this within hours of the flag being raised. Exceptional communication thoughout the process helped to know the ststus and expecation of steps. During a time when interest rates have cause a flood of refinancing applications, this entire process went smothly and relatively quick. Highly recommended as both knowlegable and able to negotiate the curves, Ray Ochoa with Academy is a win!

  My experience with Academy Mortgage was excellent! I was a first time home buyer who being young and not knowing a whole lot was a bit scared of how the whole process would work. However I worked with Chelsie Mesa in Yuma, Arizona and I have to say that she made my experience smooth and efficient. I did not have to do a lot of running around she took care of many things for me which was great since I work long hours. I have to say that I even got my house close to 3 weeks early it was a great surprise! :) Overall Chelsie Mesa stayed in touch with me the whole time was knowledgeable and explained things to me thoroughly. I would definitely recommend Academy Mortgage to anyone!

  My mortgage experience was totally positive. I had issues along the way that were out of anyone's control and Tera Greene and her staff handled them without blinking. The Academy team was friendly, professional, and hard working. All of my questions were answered quickly and I always felt like I had a partner throughout the process. I still remember the emails at ten at night when Tera was burning the midnight oil on my case. I will always go through them and send all of my friends to them too because of their commitment to my mortgage and to me as a person.

  We were very fortunate to have Stephanie Converse handle our loan application. We were living overseas due to my service in the military. We decided to purchase a home here in Yuma since it was going to be our next duty station. She did an absolutely phenomenal job at communicating with us during the entire process. Even with the time zone differences between Arizona and Japan she made every effort to contact us as the mortgage progressed. She was very informative regarding the entire mortgage process and provided useful information each step of the way. Stephanie always let us know the answers to the questions we had regarding amounts financed, interest rates, and the loan status. She never missed a beat. She went above and beyond ensuring all our needs were met even during the last few weeks of her pregnancy. We hope that when we decide to make another purchase that we will be blessed with a loan officer like Stephenie! You rock!

  I've never heard positive stories regarding the home buying process. This office and group of women have been absolutely amazing! It's was an easy and pain free process. They were always very informative and so easy to talk to. I'm so thankful I was referred to them.

  Our experience with Tera Lynn Greene & Aimee Calvet was incredible. We previously started with another Mortgage Company, Nova Home Loans, recommended by our bank. They left us feeling very uncomfortable and frustrated. We then switched to Academy Mortgage who was recommended by Dan Arnold, a friend of ours who is a Realtor. From the moment I spoke with Tera on the phone, the experience was absolutely terrific. She gave us more information in the first phone call than the other company did in the 8 week process. Tera and her team were very informative, they gave us options for the loan that would best suit our needs, from beginning to end of the loan process. We have bought and sold quite a few homes over the years, and our experience with Tera Greene was the best yet!

  No, just no, unless you are working with Derek. My past two experiences with Aimee Calvet and Tera Greene will force me to go elsewhere next time. Again, Derek was great and timely helping my wife and I with our first house. After selling and buying a new house we went to refinance our mortgage. A simple refinance took over a month with the aforementioned "team." ( And that may be a kind timeline.) I was told on numerous occasions that " we're really busy." I'm always busy at work and never tell people that. It's completely unprofessional. The good news is the refinance finally went through. More concerning is their lack of communication when we sold our house. I gritted my teeth when I saw my wife and I had to work with them again. They tried to push closing multiple times without even 24 hrs. notice. Again, completely unprofessional. Avoid, avoid, avoid!
