I’ve tried twice with another mortgage company and both time was a nightmare took months and in the end didn’t work out but John and his team had it done and sign in record time, made the whole process stress free and easy!   We had an extremely positive experience working with Vinnie on a cash out refinance. Even in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic, when nearly all of the paperwork needed to be completed virtually, Vinnie and his staff were great - quick, informative, efficient. We closed within 5 weeks. When we first started working with Vinnie, we were hoping to move. He clearly and concisely walked us through our different monthly payment scenarios, based on purchase price, taxes and money down. We ultimately decided to stay put and expand, and he was just as helpful reviewing the cash out refi terms. Working with Academy was a nice change from my previous mortgage experiences with a big bank and a credit union, where I had to chase down loan officers for answers. Academy - thanks for making the process so easy and pleasant!

  John B. at Academy Mortgage was amazingly helpful! We recently refinanced our mortgage and everything went incredibly smoothly. Originally we weren't sure if we wanted to look for a new house or do a cash out refinance. It took a literally a year for us to make our decision and John never once pressured us to do anything. He stuck beside us and provided us with all the information he possibly could whenever we requested it so that we could make the decision that was right for us, not him. I have already recommended him to others and I will continue to do so.

  I am shopping for my first house and wanted to know what my options are. A friend of mine referred me to Vinnie of Academy Mortgage Corp. and I’m really glad she did. Buying a house and getting a mortgage is stressful and intimidating but Vinnie made me feel at ease as he took his time to explain what my financial options were and what I could realistically afford. He also explained the entire mortgage process and how to reduce my debt to increase my credit score. I appreciate all they did as I start my journey on owning my first home… I will definitely use them when the time comes!

  Every field has its Einstein. It's definitive genius. In the Long Island mortgage industry, it is Vinnie Diorio. I am a person who is anxiety-ridden when trying to decide on shirt color for the day. You could only imagine how I would be when faced with the difficult, statistically stressful, process of buying a new home and selling my old home. From the moment I stepped into vinnies office I was put instantly at ease. Everything was explained to me in a simple, yet educational way. My first time around I used a big name bank. Vinnie and academy was the opposite of that bank. The bank left me with an ulcer in my stomach through the whole process. Vinnie guided me through all my options. Vinnie was the human equivalent of a scotch on the rocks. Whenever I had questions, no matter if it was 11 pm or some idle Saturday night, he responded within minutes, not days. Now that I am gearing towards closing, Vinnie is my mortgage guardian angel and I hope that he guides me through, just as Clarence odbody did for George Bailey. I am quite certain he will and I will give a final update when it's all done because he deserves 10 stars. Not 5 stars. Thank you very much for everything academy mortgage and Vinnie. Follow up.....Apparently I was wrong... it's not just Vinnie who is the Micheal Jordan of mortgages but his whole team is a fluid machine that will get you ur dream home. Every single thing went right according to plan. This happened because of the help of Vinnie and his team. We actually were ready to close before my sale was and they had a one month head start in the process. Home buyin does not have to be scary and u don't have to be at the mercy of big banks. Vinnie and his whole team proved that to me. I give them ten stars. Thank you very much for everything.
