  We had the opportunity and pleasure of working with Steve Ware. My wife and I bought our first home and he was the lender. To say that he went above and beyond does not even begin to describe the level of care and commitment Steve and his team showed us. If you are looking for a lender, going with anyone other than Steve and his team would be a disservice to yourself! Even today, after we have closed and moved in, we still know we can call him if we ever have any questions or need any advice and he will answer! Do yourself a favor and give him a call, even if you already have a lender, get a second quote from him and his team and you won’t be sorry!!

  Steve Ware was so informative and patient with us. He explained everything to us so simply. He looked out for us and guided us through the process. WE LOVE HIM. A special thank you to all the staff members that help us get everything in order. The staff was so pleasant to work with. I have already recommended Academy to two people looking to buy a home.   Since the owner of Academy Mortgage is out here deleting honest reviews. Here it is again. I would not recommend. Bob Smith was very shady at the end of the loan agreement signing. His team was very unorganized, often times asking for the same document you sent them over and over. Bob Smith told me I could get a 2.75% rate with points and a 3.25% without points. I opted for the 3.25% and when it came down to signing the loan agreement he put down 3.25% with points. On top of that, I received a receipt from the appraisal company that did not match up with what I paid Academy Mortgage. Bob smith overcharged me for the home appraisal and when questioned about it, he became very nasty with me. All in all despite everyone giving Bob smith a great review, unfortunately I did not have a great experience. I caution future buyers. Make sure to screenshot and keep track of all conversations, questions and receipts. Read over your agreements and make sure you receive what you agreed upon. PS: I have the receipts to prove it. Regardless I have no interest in working with you in the future. I simply want to make sure no one else has this experience.

If this is an actual client we invite you to immediately contact us direct at 561-252-8539. We have not heard this type of negativity from ANY clients and we follow up with every single one to get their opinion of our services. Everything is disclosed to clients well in advance (in writing). This review suggests you are either a spammer, fake account, or a competitor as much of what you are saying is not even possible in the mortgage world. Having said that, we again invite anyone with an opinion (good or bad) to call Bob direct at 561-252-8539. Especially if there is an issue with our Team, we will work hard to resolve it.

  First time home buyer before meeting Bob Smith I went to my bank Pnc 10 days before closing they cancelled my loan after I paid for appraisal and Inspection so I was worried about going through the process again. Bob and his team made it easy what a difference experience. They are communicating daily at keep you posted on what’s going on. Highly recommended Bob and Academy Mortgage

  As a first time home buyer, I naturally had a ton of questions. Gail, Thanya and team were excellent to work with. The whole team had patience with me, guiding me with answers to all of my questions and were just simply amazing to work with. I would absolutely recommend them for anyone needing to get a mortgage!!! Their timeliness on responses and getting everything I needed made the process so effortless. The e-signatures helped everything going smoothly during this time of limited interactions due to COVID-19 too. Highly recommend working with Gail!
