Zions Bank Moab Reviews

Robert Greenberg1Held hostage! I have had a HELOC with Zions since a home renovation project in 2014. My last draw was over 4 years ago. I paid off the balance in 2017. I went to my local branch (Moab) on Friday, 10/8 to close my HELOC. I authorized the $12 fee to be deducted from my Zions checking account and was told that the paperwork would take 2-3 business days to complete. On 10/13 I looked at my account on the internet and saw that the loan was still listed as open and that the $12.00 fee had not been deducted from my checking account. I called Zions Customer Service and asked for help getting the loan closed. The agent was very pleasant. She said that she would try to expedite the matter by sending a message to the people who were responsible but she was skeptical that it would do any good. She did create a ticket. I checked the account again on 10/15. I saw on the internet that the HELOC was still listed as open and the fee not deducted. I called the number listed on the Zions Bank website for Help with existing loans at 2:25pm that afternoon. After waiting a while on hold I was connected to Dane. I explained that I was in the middle of negotiating a mortgage and the open HELOC was holding it up. Dane told me that closing a HELOC often took 30 days and the final paperwork often took 90 days. I explained to him that even a 30-day wait would sink my application and force me to start again with a higher interest rate. Dane said that he would try to expedite a Close Letter and asked if he could put me on hold “for a few minutes”. I waited on hold for 84 minutes and finally gave up. As you can imagine, this is intensely frustrating. I don’t know if a local branch president can exert any pressure on Zions. Robert (Bob) Greenberg

Now it Jon prejudice because I am a female or because my last name is Italian. I do not know but I am going to find out.

peter basinger1The people working in the bank are perfectly pleasant, but Zions has dishonest practices including hidden fees. Their online service is poor and years behind the times. I would not open an account at Zions ever again and recommend others go elsewhere.

Tommy Clayton5Been banking here for over 20+ years. They have helped my employees cash their payroll checks even though they bank somewhere else, always know my name, and are accurate with deposits.... Great bank if you need one ....

Marcus Sewell1Worst banking experience's of my life. If you are not a member of their church or from the immediate area, I wouldn't bother with this bank. You will be talked down to and spoken to as if you are a bother and an absolute imbecile. The lack of customer service and general politeness are some of the smaller problems. The deceptive banking practices, deceptive sale tactics and failure of leadership are some of the bigger issues with this bank. My interactions with this bank are being reported to the bureau of better business practices.
