Marc Welsh2Got blatantly defrauded and these guys didn't back me up. Then they tried to bait me into spending 5x the amount lost to go after the merchant who robbed me. Not a terrible bank but don't expect any protection from their fraud department.

We always investigate fraud claims, and we provide a refund if the investigation proves fraud occurred. However, in situations in which the charge is indeed authorized by the cardholder, even if the cardholder does not agree with the terms or the amount, it is considered a “dispute” rather than “fraud.” In this case, as with all cases of dispute, we did our best to mediate and assist with a resolution. Sometimes, however, it is out of our hands and must be addressed directly with MasterCard on their fee schedule. We’re truly sorry that our attempts to help did not meet your expectations.
