  The ATM machines are down again in Newark and in East Orange! This happens frequently in the urban areas but not so much in other areas, if you know what I mean! Wells Fargo does not care about its' customers! Wells Fargo's gives customer a substandard service. They don't loan customers or businesses in this area any money. Just check out their CRA reports! Why is Wells Fargo in this community in the first place? So understand this Wells Fargo will charge you for overdraft fees but if you can't put the money in the fees will increase. Whose fault is that especially when your machines don't work!

  Slow and rude service. Surely they can and should have more than teller working. That security guard needs to learn to treat all as valued customers

  Response to Janet, Wells Fargo HL Social this cash deposit policy exists in the Newark (Valisburg) branch as well. Sure many, many customers or people who used or tried to use Wells Fargo bank has experienced this! If you talk to your online customer service and branch personnel, they would be able to provide you with more information. When a person cannot deposit money into a bank whether they are a customer or not, it is awful! What if there is an emergency situation and someone else has to deposit cash because the customer is out of town? But, if such policies are approved and allowed by Wells Fargo, surely, without any concerns about its impact to customers, than so be it! In terms of asking me to forward this review, I think it would be more appropriate for you to forward this review! Thank you. One star is too many!!!! A horrible bank and a terrible banking experience. Urge the people of this community whether you are a non-profit, have a commercial or personal account to cease banking with Wells, Fargo, 480 Central Ave, East Orange, NJ 07018!!!!Tried to make a cash deposit for someone real close to me! They told me that since my name was not on the account that I could not do it!!! They gave me the money back!!!! Wells Fargo claims it is there policy to not accept cash deposits from people other than the account holder. Pretty sure this policy is not enforced in more affluent communities!! If you know what I mean!!!! Would have made the deposit via their ATM but they never sent a new one even though they promised to do so!!!!! What type of accounting or tracking software does Wells Fargo have whereas a customer has to remind them to send a new Wells Fargo card to them!!!!! Wells Fargo does not care if your checks bounce because they won’t allow you to deposit money because they get paid anyway!!! Banking at Wells Fargo is a total waste of time!!!!! People in the community from all walks need to stop supporting this bank!!!! It is bad enough that they take your money, but don't loan it back, now they won't even let you deposit money!!!! Stop supporting businesses in your community that DO NOT SUPPORT YOU! Wells Fargo DOES NOT SUPPORT ANY WELLS FARGO IN YOUR COMMUNITY!!! On top of that their CRA, Community Reinvestment Act rating is trifling!!!!!! If you have an account with Wells Fargo, take it to another institution, they are only going to get worse!!! You already know about their scandals with opening up unauthorized accounts in customers names as well as their terrible lending practices during the Financial Crisis a few years ago!!! Where was the “policy” then??? DO NOT SUPPORT WELLS FARGO!!!!! Have not even touched on their sordid transaction history during the 17th century!!!!

  every single time i go there and get this lady with the glasses to the right of the counter, she ALWAYSSS gives me problems. I always have paypal deposit into my account and she alwayss brings it up. terrible and with the recent things about wells fargo actually closing my accounts and switching banks

  The Security is awful.. He had us waiting till I went and knocked on door, letting him know it's pass 9:30 am.. Start calling us in .. Was so hot out .. Please pay attention to Us> the customers waiting in the heat, outside.. Customer service is great.

  The female teller with the glasses sits there and wastes time talking to co-workers and dozing off into space instead of doing her job. For something that should take no more than 5-10 minutes, I’m standing there for 20!

  Honestly I was very surprised. The service is actually really good. They have a greeter in the lobby, and the tellers are surprisingly very pleasant and helpful.

  They are more.professional than in years past. They had a reputation for ignorant staff, horrible customer service, and unbelievable long wait times.

  The employees are very helpful including the greeters the staff goes above and beyond to help from the moment you enter the bank until you leave very nice environment
