Mark Strode1Terrible bank, good employees. We applied for an owner build loan through wafed and in the begining they were all for it. We were very up front about the fact that we did not want to use a general contractor because we have many family members in the industry including someone with 30+ years of construction experience. Just before we were about to sign a loan contract they did a 180 on us told us that our cost savings did not concern them and that we had to use a general contractor and that they would put in a contingency that would increase the loan to 90% of the homes estimated value. Stay far away from this bank they are scam artists of the worst kind. They make wells fargo look like an upstanding business.

Wanda Collins5I went into the Barkley Branch needing help with paperwork from an IRA CD. Laura Martin was SO friendly and SO helpful! After a thorough search she said the paperwork had not been issued yet, but gave me her card and told me I could contact her in the next couple of days to check again. I didn't even get a chance to call the next day! She remembered my name, checked on the paperwork, and called me! Because of her, everything was done ! Great service!

Amanda Bo5The entire Barkley branch team has been amazing since day one. I opened business and personal accounts here with Ian. He is professional, thorough, and fast! He always finds a solution and goes the extra mile to give me all the information. Laura, Bart, and Ikenna all have positive attitudes and are happy to serve! They make coming here a highlight of my day. Kira always has a kind compliment to give and offers her service readily. I can't thank this team enough! I'm sure that I am a handful as this is my first time running a business and I have so many requests, but they are always patient and kind. I highly recommend this bank and this branch! Steve Devereux5I had a great experience at this Washington Federal branch. I worked with Bart Arnold, personal banker. Bart helped me open the right kind of savings account to meet the down payment goals my wife & I have. We got what we needed quickly and all of our questions were answered. Would highly recommend this branch.

Flower Child1This is the first time I've ever been mistreated at a bank because of my skin color. The bank manager here, Kira Rooney, has a huge chip on her shoulder. I realize that some minorities feel the need to objectify and belittle people of other races, but it's completely inappropriate in ANY position. Kira Rooney fosters a relationship of disrespect by lying to customers (repeatedly I might add), treating customers like criminals, not allowing customers to access their funds, then making them sit in her office while she degrades them and treats them like dogs. I'm making the rounds trying to find out where to report her. I would not bank here. They don't follow normal banking regulations and the other banks in the area have mentioned this particular branch has something shady going on.

Book Addict1Wow. There's so much wrong with this bank and this branch I'm not sure where to begin. First, we were lied to twice on the very first day. That information was not corrected until AFTER we had already opened two accounts and moved our money which was immediately put on hold for a week. Second, the staff are like little puppets playing a game of telephone and the message by the time it gets to you is mangled and just plain wrong. If you have a question just ask the branch manager. Anything else is going to be wrong. If you can get it in writing, so much the better.
