  Absolutely horrible customer service!!! They talk over and down to you when you call with issues. Very condescending and unhelpful. Even when problems are on their end they have no interest in listening to you or working with you to solve them. Some of the worst customer service and representatives that I have had the misfortune to try and solve issues with.

  Volunteer Mortgage Loan Services is a GREAT company!! The employee are very helpful and they show that they really care!! But, ONE of the employee whose name is Mrs.Vanessa is the most nice, kind and is a super helpful person!! She ALWAYS have helped me with my options and answering any questions I have with ANY assistances or programs that I may qualify for during a time of need!! And I really appreciate her for that!!

  Terrible customer service and payment processing. Received a payment confirmation only to find that my payment was never processed and I was being charged a late fee. I contacted them via their website and they took a very long time to respond, and only said to call them. When I called I was met by a rude representative who said they called my husband EVERY DAY to inform him or payment didn't process. Later when I received my phone bill, I could confirm on the call log that he was never called ONCE. I messaged them again via email so I could provide the call log for proof and they responded 25 days later with a response that made no sense and didn't even address the fact I was lied to and no one ever called me. This is the third issue I have had with them since August, and my previous lender of 9 years never gave me a single issue.

  Since loan purchased from US Bank nothing but problems with this company. Wasnt notified of purchase and had auto pay setup. When issue was noticed paid balance and next month credit was affected even though payment was on time. Few months later got another notice of credit change. Called company to see what was going on. They started that payment was not made but I had credit on my mortgage account of the same amount of mortgage payment. I asked how I would have credit as they are not bank. Ridiculous

  I’m not sure how I keep getting late fees when I have a grace period. I get it I may have been late couple of times but I always pay the fees on top of my mortgage. But now i am seeing more late fees that I didn’t know I had. I go online to pay but if you have late fees that you supposedly accrued they don’t add that on. You think you’re paying the full amount but your not. It doesn’t allow you to change the amount either so basically it keeps adding up. I am looking to find another company. This is ridiculous. I would never recommend this company!

  Terrible experience since they took over my loan, from US Bank. They almost never answer their phones, their phone line hangs up after you sit on hold for so long, they deactivate your online Account to make payments if you're late, they dont return voicemails at all, or as a matter of fact make anything easy. I felt bad at first because it seems they are understaffed. However, they have all the THDA loans, so they shouldn't be understaffed. Now I've recieved a confusing statement saying my monthly payment is going up (In four days, from the day I recieved it) due to escrow accounts ect... However, I have a fixed interest rate, my property tax and home owners insurance hasnt changed at all. There's no one to explain why any of this is happening. At this point, I am ready to sell my house to get out from this loan company and pay the THDA grant back. Hopefully, things change for the better, soon...

  If I could give this place negative stars I would. Filed a late payment on my credit report 2 days after I had made the payment. When I attempted to contact someone the girl I talked to had a terrible attitude and then asked to speak to her supervisor she transferred me to a dead phone line. I can not wait to refinance with a different company. If you are in the position to get your loan moved elsewhere I would do it now before they ruin your credit score.

  This has to be the worst mortgage company I have ever worked with. If they don't like the question, they don't respond to my inquiries -- by phone, email, or mail. The monthly statement is impossible to read, so I have no idea how my money is being handled. I notate each month that I am paying extra money to the principal balance, and it ends up in an interest-free holding account. Sloppy, sloppy, sloppy!!

  EDITED 2020: called to ask about assistance for inability to pay mortgage due to COVID-19 Hardship and was helped by a sweet lady named Karen, who was so incredibly helpful and was able to freeze our account for three months to help my husband and I get back onto our feet. She explained everything very thoroughly and was quick and courteous. Thank you for helping people out! 2018: Can another company please take over my mortgage?! This is a nightmare. Cant get ahold of someone. My payment inexplicably went up by $100/month. And you cant pay via card without paying a ridiculous fee. Let's get in the 21st century please.
