Very slow, not enough tellers. People taking care of all their business at the teller window.no one on the side to help different situations.no one at the entrance. And The one Who is there doesn’t have the personality to be there.please hire people with customer service abilities. It’s so important to the banking business. They also need to dress the part. Dirty tennis shoes, jeans and I’ll fitting clothes, looks horrible.

For over a month and a half reporting I owe 98% on a paid off debt. Saying they will have to investigate to see if they made any mistake even with card has zero balance . This credit union isn’t there for the community except to Victimize . When said I should stop using card reply was will note the account . That’s my credit if I choose to stop using card not there business to make note to destroy a persons credit . Please everyone get out of Valley First credit union the vision isn’t what’s best for the community but how to destroy individuals from Achieving personal wealth.

I opened this account specifically to use for my Ebay business and keep it separate from my personal banking at another bank. So far I've been pleased. I use the Oakdale branch. I didn't want to use a big box bank so VFCU seemed like a good fit. I plan on opening an online investment account that will pay a much higher percentage rate than typical savings account. The savings account through VFCU will remain as my emergency fund. I don't use the app much so I haven't had any issues.

Tried to open a savings account, was told I needed cash and could not do a transfer from an external account. Went back another day with cash, 45 minutes before closing and was told it was too close to closing to open an account. And there’s a 5 business day delay for just doing it myself online. Here’s hoping the third time works.

They now want charge you a $13 convenience fee per transaction for online make a payment. Thats just a money grab. There is no way that price is justified. I pay all my bills online only one other charges but that is $5 not a whopping $13

There is always ample parking with easy in- out access. The employees are ALWAYS really courteous, friendly and helpful. Even if there is a line of moves briskly. I like that the debit card pays me if I have 12 or more transactions in a month. Even if I have less I don't need to pay that infernal $1 transaction fee. I've been a customer here for over 10 years and like it so much better than the times I have to go to a 'bank'. I've had a couple car loans here and always I've been treated with respect. I can definitely recommend this credit union. I think you'll be pleased with doing business here.

It really should be less. I'd say a 2.8 and mostly because of how terrible their online services are. You are always recommended to complete any transaction or errand on the app or online banking yet 90% of the online functions are useless. Going to the branch location isn't that bad but annoying to be told that I could have completed my task online yet the online functions don't work.

      Response from the owner

Thanks for taking the time to provide your feedback. If you have more information on the online services issues you're experiencing, please email those directly to [email protected]. There definitely may be assistance we can provide to correct them. Thanks!

I brought all my coins down to the J street office to cash them in for money, but the machine in the lobby will only give you gift cards to places I don't shop. Guess there is no coin shortage won't let me deposit in my account. 200$+

Kicking customers out of there accounts due to an update. My notice came the day after. No customer service 1800 number either swamped with calls or disabled completely. Emails are standard. No help. Once you have reset up your account. It will take 2 business days for your enrolment to be approved. All negative comments on FB are removed. Oh and they prefer the term Members. Not Customers. Go to the branch. No eye contact at all. 1 teller taking the entire line of customers in a normal snails pace.

If it was possible, I would have probably given this branch negative stars. Now, that is a pretty serious rating and here is why: the branch is condescending, flippant and rude. I am 17 and no longer have the same sort of contact with my parents that my fellow teens have. I needed to find a bank that didn't require a co-signer, and if you look at the second paragraph below "requirements" in the picture I attached, you will see that they promise just that! I am copying and pasting this: "To establish a Frequency Savings Account, you must be between the ages of 13 – 17, complete a membership application, provide a valid form of ID and make a minimum opening deposit of $10. If you do not have a valid ID, then a parent or legal guardian must be a joint owner on the account." I have a state issued California ID, and it looks like I can use that instead of a co-signer, right? I need to provide a valid form of ID, if I don't have one, I need a parent co-signer. That is what their website says, anyways. I was rudely dismissed when I presented my valid form of ID and showed the manager the bank's website. I am highly disappointed to see that now, 2 weeks after pointing this out to staff, their website has not been changed.
