UW Credit Union Reviews

Jonathon Reffke1Terrible. Really bad attitude from the clerks. All kinds of ridiculous fees. The mobile app spotty at best often times not working whatsoever. There's basically always a long hold if you try to call customer service. Customer service often will say one thing & then the branch manager completely contradicts them. This credit union is awful & I plan to find a new one as soon as possible. I'd give zero stars if I could, not suprised that the UW system would produce such a poorly operated institution.

Zandra Moore5Best banking staff EVER! Superior customer service, always greeting you with a smile. Professional, stickers or lollipops for the kids. Know you on a 1st name basis, which makes me feel like family. UWCU-BAYSHORE is TOP TIER! :)

Hannah Cobleigh1Worst customer service, multiple mistakes on my loan by them and no efforts whatsoever to resolve them on a customer service level. I will never be getting a loan through them again. Offers no extensions or resolutions for illness or pandemic reasons either. I have had car loans before and been very happy with other lenders. UW Credit Union however is awful.

Edward King1Filling out forms for power of attorney for my sister who is on a ventilator -- wasted a day since an initial was in the wrong place (which was done in the office, in front of the bank employee). Now I need to go back to the hospital where my sister is to get a new form signed and notarized which is a 2 hour drive from where I am. Meanwhile, they've suspended her debit card for an unknown reason and can't do anything about it until she calls them. Worst customer service ever.

Lemonjooc fan1I just waited in line for an hour, only to be told they turned their card machine off before closing time. It was 5 min to closing, and the signs outside the building said the last transaction would be 15 minutes after closing time. According to their sign, I should have been able to be taken care of. How inconsiderate of my time. I guess an hour is not enough of a cushion to get what I needed. Avoid the Glendale branch- every car sits at the window for 15+ minutes. How can every transaction take so long?

PETER T2Love UW credit union as a whole. But who ever was branch manager of this location (on 7-24-2019) let me stand waiting as she small talked with the costomer before her. The other teller was servicing the drive through window with no regards to the fact that I had been standing there waiting longer then any if the drive up customers. When they were done talking I asked to deposit a small check into my account and was told. " Because the check is from an insurance company you will need youre wife to sign as well." I had no problems depositing a check from the same insurance company weeks ago at a differant UW location and the check was over 10x the amount. This interaction felt very wrong.

Draiaha-Haile McFarland2I’ve only had my account with them for about a month and I. continue to have issues. It’s disappointing to come home after a long day at work only to find out that my bank doesn’t even have a 24/7 1800 help number should I need them after closing time like right now. Also not sure about any other location but the Port Washington one has the slowest service no matter what time of day I’ve gone and I’ve been there in the morning, durning work hours and after work hours and each time I’ve sat in line for 30-45 mins. Not sure how much longer I will continue to bank with them.
Response from the ownerHi there, we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. We temporarily closed our branch lobbies in response to COVID-19, which led to our drive-ups being a little more congested than normal. We expect wait times to return to normal levels when we can safely re-open our lobbies. Thank you for your understanding during this unpredictable time.
