Truist Reviews

Sherry Dye1Horrible customer service. Suntrust was way better. After holding on for about an hour, was told that I cannot get a full monthly statement over the phone, I had to go to a branch and MAYBE get one. Tried to go to the main branch today, And every parking spot was taken over by the car show. You cannot get to the back area due to the tremendous amount of traffic. I called and asked what customers were supposed to do and was told to basically figure it out. Bank of America had their parking blocked for THEIR customers. And I’ve never had issues getting statements from them. So far, TRUIST is horrible.

Ted Sherrod1If you are trying to be profiled, discriminated against, and not have any debit cards that work, Truist is the bank for you. After yesterday's experience there I am thinking of pushing a discrimination lawsuit. Good luck if you give then tour money.

Scott Lawrence2I'm not particularly eager to write bad reviews, but this is one of the few you will see from me. I was displeased with visiting the BB&T (Truist) branch on Oak Street in Myrtle Beach this morning to close my Safe Deposit Box. Last week I emptied the box and was told since I did not have both keys, which I do not recall receiving two keys, the Bank would charge me a lost key fee. I had banked with this Bank before it was BB&T. Today, I asked the Banker how old my accounts were; she responded 37 years. I next asked who signed on the Safe Deposit Box? Only you did, she stated. Finally, I asked how much money do you think the Bank has made from the tens, sometimes hundreds, of thousands of dollars in my accounts over that time? She had no answer for me; I asked the Bank to waive the lost key fee. She, as a Banker, needed management approval. This Branch lost its Manager, so she called a Senior Banker who I have known for at least a decade or more, who assumed the duties. Kim passed the buck and said that a Manager needed to approve my request. Cindy then called the Socastee Branch and talked to the Branch Manager, who quoted their rules and denied my request. My only question is, what has happened to customer service and commitment to long-standing, loyal customers? I see none here. As soon as I can, I will be removing the remainder of our money from Trust. I know it isn't much to the Bank, but people need to know what these Banks are doing. I wish to add a positive caveat to this review. Cindy was pleasant, polite, and professional during our interaction and did her job to the extent possible. I think Kim did the same, but in her years of being a Relationship Banker with us, she knew me and should have made the call to the Manager in my defense. I am totally confused as to what happened today. I would not ever recommend Trust to anybody, PERIOD!

B. A. DuVali3Get someone more competent on the window for lane 1, no reason it should take AN HOUR to get thru 4 cars doing simple deposits; whoever the girl is at the window (1/6/21) isn't regularly there, id suggest putting her elsewhere, cause she's ridiculously slow
