  Would not recommend. This company made a stressful time in our lives more stressful by not returning emails, texts or calls in a timely manner (days) and not properly accounting for required documents. We were pre-approved by them thinking it would make the whole process of obtaining a mortgage easier. We were wrong. With over two (2) months to prepare a mortgage, which they were not flexible at all on pushing up the closing date, we received 3 different totals for closure, each time the cost went up. In addition, the closing disclosure did not reflect all payments we made prior. When asked for the CD to be corrected we did not receive a response until we texted them 2 days later, only to be told they wouldn’t be sending one, we had to sign the incorrect one or risk the closing date to be pushed out even further. Despite having over 45 days to get all documents in order, they waited until 3 days prior to targeted closing date to notify us of additional documents needed or ones that needed to be resent (even when uploaded in our documents folder).We did not receive our final total until the day before the closing. Even during the closing our attorney informed us that they have received final payment from the lender (Total Mortgage) because they were having a hard time verifying my husbands place of work, which he just celebrated his 10 year anniversary with. The lack of communication and coordination is unacceptable in this digital age. They caused us an unsurmountable of unnecessary additional stress.

  Jay helped me understand my VA options. Ended up refinancing with cash out and lowering my interest rate to 2.75%. Awesome! All the paperwork was done online and easy to submit. Just had to go to the socially distanced closing with one lawyer. Only took about 3 weeks start to finish. Thanks, Jay!

  Absolutely terrible service. Worked with someone named Joseph and it has been an absolute nightmare. Zero communication and was told the day before our FIFTH closing date that it would be pushed back again and no one could give me a good reason why other than the long weekend. Due to no one communicating with me I now have four days of homelessness ahead of me with two young children. This place is a joke!

  I had a spectacular experience working with Jason Alves at Total Mortgage. Jason was there with me every step of the way. He was extremely responsive, thoroughly answered every question I had, shared extensive knowledge and offered sound advice when requested. I have now purchased two homes while working with Jason and I see no need to seek services from any other individual when it comes to a mortgage. The type of work ethic and diligence he continually demonstrates is far above and beyond anything I could ever have expected.

  Unpleasant is an understatement. This process took over 100 days and it was no fault of our own. We received very poor communication from the staff at Total Mortgage. They definitely did not make us a priority and it showed. I would not recommend this company and I personally will not ever do business with them ever again.

  Ed and his team are a true professionals. They worked with us to complete our loan on a very tight time frame - which was requested by the seller. Ed was personally available at every step of the process and made sure to explain each step thoroughly. I would highly recommend Total Mortgage to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, friendly and honest lender.
