Stride Bank, N.A. Reviews

Becca Dennis1The worst customer service I've ever experienced. I called to ask about their transfer services to see if they were set up to work with apps like Zelle, Venmo, etc. The people at Stride Bank were genuinely awful. I asked the rep if they worked with Zelle. I had a difficult time understanding her answer and asked a clarifying question. She became irritated, interrupted my question, and hung up on me. I called back hoping it was an error, but the second rep was even worse. I explained what happened and told her I had a second question, intending to ask about their Chime service. She talked over me and hung up before I even had a chance to say anything. I realize a random review from a stranger on the internet is easy to read and dismiss. I know that I'm guilty of assuming highly critical reviews are the result of temper tantrums from adults who couldn't get their way with an unreasonable request. But I can assure you, that's not what happened here. If I can't even ask a simple question about which transfer apps work with their services, then I shudder to think of what they'd do with an actual customer's account issue. This experience has been a 0/10 and I'm shocked that they're in business at all, let alone in the business of convincing people to trust them with their money.

Matthew Reymann1I went to an Allpoint ATM in a Walgreen's to withdraw money "free of charge." The ATM debited my account, whirred like it was dispensing money, but no money came out. I contacted the ATM company who passed me off to the bank. I contacted customer service the next day, since they were closed for the day(pathetic). I was assured by the CSR that my money would be refunded to me immediately. It wasn't. Now, 9 days later, I called again to see why the delay had been so long. The CSR this time says he can't find a previous record, which is a clear failure of oversight. He says I need to fill out a form, and MAYBE I will get the money they STOLE from me in 60 days!!!!. I am dumbfounded, baffled, and befuddled by the depths of this horrible customer service. I needed that money 9 days ago. Now, if I ever get it back, it will be months from now!!!! This should be a criminal offense. DON'T TRUST THIS BANK!!!!
