Staff was very professional, and made it easy for me to open accounts for my spouse and children's accounts. We were there for over an hour as opening accounts take a bit of time, everyone was nice and made the process less painful. As far as no local phone line, with other comments I live in town and have zero worries about this as if I have a problem I'll just go in! Looking forward to a long relationship with STCU for all my families banking needs.

Worst customer service EVER! I have several issues in the last year and they do not have the common sense or courtesy to let a customer know if there is an unusual problem. First it was with transferring and signing paper work for a ROTH acct. Then ATM was frequently out of service. Now there is an issue with a hold on a deposit check from 3/24. 3/29 I see nothing has been deposited. Why the heck would any business not notify the customer if there is an issue? Called Spokane STCU and they won't give us the Ritzville branch phone, Spokane spoke to Ritzville while I am on hold. Spokane said Ritzville could remove the hold on deposit but Spokane could not, refused to give me the Ritzville branch phone again and said I had to drive the 20 miles to talk to Ritzville in person. I drove 20 miles and Ritzville branch spent 15 minutes looking things up AGAIN and could not remove the hold. Can't call the local branch, no communication with customers. RIDICULOUS, terrible servcie.

Den - thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We're sorry to hear you had a frustrating experience with us. Sometimes holds are placed when large deposits are made in the branch as part of our federal regulatory policies or if a check is deposited through an ATM or mobile deposit. When this happens, we release a portion of the funds immediately and the remaining once they have been verified (usually 3-7 business days). On deposit receipts we notate if a hold has been placed on funds and when they will be released along with the available account balance. We understand that a conversation about the hold may have been helpful in this situation and will use this as a coaching opportunity for our team. To best serve our members in the branch, our branch staff do not have phone lines for calls. This helps reduce lines and wait times for members who come into the branch.

Refusing to open an account because it was 3:50pm saying we don't open accounts after 4. No wonder yall don't get much business. You chase anyone interested in account away with your poor attitudes.

      Response from the owner

Allie, we are very sorry to hear this. We confirmed with the branch that this isn't our policy. If you're still needing to open an account, please let us know and we can have someone reach out to you to discuss!

there is still no direct line to call the local branch, i just needed to call to see if my appointment to get in the lobby was still open and i have to wait on hold for an hour. not cool. Luckily the head manager gave me her business card to get ahold of them or leave a message locally, just ask for it. ATM works fine now. Update - changing this again because I still can't reach the local branch unless I walk down there. Very unhappy with the service provided. Slow and tedious.

      Response from the owner

Oh no! We're sorry to hear your frustrations Cody. The reason why we don't have a direct line to branches is because often the branch staff are not able to promptly assist members through the phone due to assisting members in person. We will have one of our team members get in touch with you regarding your appointment.

Worst bank in ritzville Washington. Their brand new atm has not worked for 7 consecutive days since they took over months ago. All they do is make excuses. My family is going to remove all our accounts.

      Response from the owner

Hi there. We’re sorry to hear about your experience, and will make sure to get your feedback to the right departments.

Not to jump on the bandwagon here, but seriously give us a number to the branch. Having to go through a corporate automated system and then have someone connect us to the branch is absolutely ridiculous, especially when you have to be on hold for 30+ minutes. So sick of automated answering systems. This is a small town...there can't possibly be that many people calling the branch.

      Response from the owner

Hi Shane, we are sorry to hear about your frustrations. Our Spokane based contact center is fully equipped to help you with all of your banking needs. They would be able to get to you quicker than branch staff, because those working in a branch are busy with members. If wait times are high, you can try using our chat system. We know waiting can be frustrating, but as more people are staying home because of the pandemic, our wait times have increased. If you want to chat about this further, please let us know. You can send an email to [email protected].

Will be changing banks there is no direct line to the bank so you wait on hold for a half hr to an hr to talk to someone when you do ask a question they put u back on hold for another 15 min

      Response from the owner

Oh no! We are sorry to hear that Marcus. We've been receiving a record number of incoming calls in the past couple weeks. The reason we don't have a direct line to the branch, is because the branch staff are not always available to answer the phone when helping members. We will pass along your complaint to our team. Your membership is important to us!
