  Terrible, avoid at all costs. Customer service is underwhelming, they will change account settings like overdraft protection without your knowledge or consent, are never available, and are overall irresponsible with your account. Save yourself the headache and go to another bank.

  Charter bank was a great bank, this new system, owners, online, rates, sucks. I have been a customer for over 25 years. My parents helped start the bank & I wish I'd taken dads' part now. The service is lousy. No one knows anything. I am trying to find a convenient bank and "loose" this crooked place. My money market dropped to about 1/3 of the interest I did get which was not enough to buy a burger. They said, we won't change. They changed the first day. I knew everyone who worked at the branches, that changed right away. I wish whoever took my stock and voted for them had a foot up their ****!

  If you're looking for a mortgage, this is not the bank to go to. What bank in 2018 does not allow you to make a mortgage payment online, and only accepts payments at their locations or through snail mail? You can't even call to make a payment over the phone. Seems like something small, but when you live in a time when hardly anyone writes checks, it's a big inconvenience. They're definitely in the dark ages as far as technology.
