  I have been saying for years I was going to leave my big bank for a local one and the time finally came yesterday. I have used SouthStar for years on the mortgage side however had not made the switch with my checking accounts. Joyce took great care of me and was so welcoming to my new local banking family. I am thrilled to have made the move. Local and home town is definitely better in my opinion. I like having a personal relationship with my bank ... I had lost that and am so happy to finally get that back.

  I love this bank. When you call them on the phone, you actually get someone in a few rings. A person! They know me and for the first time in a long time, I feel that they actually care about me and my business! They offer CARD VALET which is a really good protection on my debit card. FIVE STARS for SOUTHSTAR BANK!

  We are about to wrap up our second loan with SouthStar. First was a land loan and the current is a construction loan. I cannot say enough about what a fantastic job, Ben has done. He worked both loans and is extremely professional, goes above and beyond to deliver and would highly recommend Ben and SouthStar to anyone. Ben’s communication and responsiveness is spot on.

  I've used SouthStar bank twice now, first when we bought our property (a lovely 35 acre farm) and then again a few years later when we wanted to build our dream home on our property. Kimberly Watson has always been AMAZING to deal with. They were able to understand what we wanted to do and work with us, while no other bank could handle such a large piece of land initially, and then building the house on it. They worked with us through the whole process, and were extremely friendly, caring, and really wanted us to be a part of the process and a part of the community. I wouldn't look anywhere else for my needs, that's for sure!
