Fflessner161Let me start off by saying that I have been with "Signature FCU" since 1993 when it was "NAPUS FCU" and was specifically for postal workers and family members. I have had many loans through this institution under both names and have been using their savings account services since 1993. I recently, 2018 started using their checking services. At first it was an okay experience but as I used their checking for longer period of time I started noticing that their online systems do not show transactions and balances real time thus making it near impossible to trust. We have all been in positions where we are just barely making it down to the wire, living pay check to pay check, and checking your bank balance multiple times per day. I can tell you that since I have been in positions like that before and still end up there from time to time, I watch my account very closely. I have received MULTIPLE insufficient funds fees from them when I know for a fact my account was showing in the positive before I ever attempted to make any sort of transaction, yet somehow they have decided to charge me without cause. Every time this has happened I can show them on the breakdown that my account was showing positive before the fee was charged and there have even been times when the amount my account is in the negative is EXACTLY the amount it was in the positive minus the fees....on top of that it is nearly impossible to get in touch with anyone and can take WEEKS to get approved for a loan. The last loan I had to get through them took over 2 weeks for them to process....long story short, do what I did and go somewhere else that has a higher level of customer service, better systems, easier access, better rates, etc....since you all opened up your fcu to everyone everything has gone down hill!

Cathy Faggiano5I just called Signature Federal Credit Union and spoke with Elizabeth Kouffalis in the mortgage/HELOC department. I needed a letter written stating the terms of a current loan I have with Signature. Elizabeth couldn't have been more professional or understanding. She wrote the letter while I was still on the phone with her and she stayed on the phone with me to make sure the letter made it to my email account right away. Wow! Signature FCU is always a pleasure to do business with and it's employees like Elizabeth Kouffalis that make this so.

Emily Dyer5I have been with the bank since 2015 and my mom and her parents even longer. Since Covid the bank hasn’t always been very helpful or nice on the phone. But yesterday when I called several times with a million questions everyone I talked to was very very helpful and very nice. At one point I had pressed the wrong button on the menu and usually when that happens they’re annoyed that they have to transfer me but the lady was very nice yesterday and didn’t mind at all. They Didn’t seem annoyed by all my questions and the hold time was much shorter. I’m very pleased with the customer service I received yesterday and happy to add my husband to the bank now.

Briana Soulder1For anyone considering to do business with this place, make sure that you know the facts about this institution. - there are only 53 employees total that work for this credit union that are assisting thousands of people, so processing time for applications and assistance will be very stressful and prolonged. -they do not have any branches of their own, there is only one building they have located in Alexandria VA, 22314. -they have a very high turnover, so their departments are very short staffed -most individuals will get denied membership or product applications due to unexplained reasons.. This info is of course not told on the website, I would not recommend

Jonathan Wallace5I called and spoke to Kurtis Calhoun last week to get an update on my loan application. Typically bank employees are like robots and don't go out of their way to help, but Kurtis was awesome. I felt like he had a genuine interest in getting me a status update and took steps with me on the phone to help move my application along. Just great customer service
