  I've now worked with Akshay Parti at Shining Star Funding, twice: once for a refinance and once for a normal home loan. On both occasions, the service was outstanding and the rates were extremely competitive. In today's competitive market, being able to close loans quickly is just as important as getting the lowest rate. Akshay and his team gave me the confidence to make a competitive offer with a short loan contingency, which allowed my wife and I to win our dream home (plus a seller credit for closing early!). I've used a few different mortgage brokers over the years and I can say without a doubt that Akshay is the best.

  It was an amazing experience and they have great loan programs. Not only did we lock in a rate that was lower than other lenders but we were able to do so without needing to pay additional points. The team is super responsive and they take the time to work with you during the entire transaction.

  My experience with shining star funding was very positive. Deepak was very knowledgeable about the process and made sure that everything worked without any hiccups. Karen was always on top of things and kept me in the loop until the end. Overall, as a first time buyer the experience was edgy but the outcome satisfactory. Would recommend them especially if you have complexity with the funds.

  Depac and his team (Chance, Karen) helped me buy my first home. I spoke with a few different lenders while shopping for a mortgage. I was initially working with "America's Largest Mortgage Lender", but their false promises pushed me to look for other options. That is when I reached out to Depac. Just by speaking with him, I could already tell that he is the most knowledgeable and most experienced. I could sense his “classic” approach and that he can do manual calculation, instead of just entering numbers on a spreadsheet. Depac is honest and direct to the point. Everyone’s financial situation is different, and Depac presented all the options available to me. I ultimately decided to go with Depac because he gave me the best offer, I felt confident in his capabilities, and his Loan Estimate is the most accurate. I learned that only Sections A and B of the Loan Estimate are controlled by the lender; the rest are controlled by third party. Having an accurate Loan Estimate is important because if a lender under-estimates Sections C and E to H, you will be surprised to find out later that you will end up with a higher monthly payment and closing cost. Depac did his research beforehand by obtaining the actual numbers from the title company and county's tax record to provide an accurate Loan Estimate. I was also worried about the possible delay in the loan approval which could result in not meeting the tight deadlines and losing the house. Depac assured me that he can get it done, and he did. Depac and his team are very patient with me and they answered all my questions. They are very quick and efficient, and they gave me constant updates on the progress. They made the transaction go smoothly and they were able to complete the entire loan process in less than 3 weeks -- which is 1 week ahead of my target closing date. Overall, I am very satisfied with the outcome and they delivered everything they promised. Thank you Depac, Chance, and Karen!
