Seth Clark1I deposit 2-3 checks every week via the mobile app from my primary job and other work avenues. This week they have decided to put a 5 day hold on any check I deposit, whether at the app or the physical location. I have kept my account in the black and never had any trouble with my checks. The folks at the customer service refused to help me. This is unacceptable.

Tommy Payne5I have done business here for a ling time and they are excellent. I would highly recommend them for any lending needs, especially car loans, you have. Their rates beat everyone and ita easy to do. I have referred people to them before and noone is ever disappointed

LaurelHanks1Will be closing mine and my husband’s accounts. If you like having money taken out of your account at random times, sending you into the negative, this is the bank for you. Three times now, this week, they have taken amounts of 150 out of our accounts, sending us both into the negative. Thankfully we always keep extra money in savings. Worst bank ever.

Brittany Porter1I’ve been with Sharonview for awhile and haven’t had any problems that wasn’t handled right away. Until recently that is. I’ve been depositing my pay checks via the app since Covid started because the bank shut down. I never had a check that was held, everything was available immediately. This past Monday I deposited my check like normal, and they decided to randomly put a 5 business day hold on it. Same check I have been depositing with them since I started banking with them, from the same company. Nothing was different. I tried to call the branch and was sent to their call center. Talked to someone who wasn’t helpful at all so I asked to speak to a manager. The woman told me “he” was in a meeting and he would call me back. About two hours later I got a call from a woman who claimed to be a manager at the call center. Said there was nothing she could do. My family members work at banks. I know you can take off the hold on a check. She refused to do so and told me they don’t do that. So they’re different from every other bank in America? I could understand if it was an unusual amount or if the check was from someone I hadn’t deposited before. The moment my money is released I’m going to withdraw every dime in my account and shut down my account completely. I’ve already opened an account with Truliant, hopefully they’ll be better.

NAKIA LANEY1Worst place to keep your funds during Covid. epidemic! Any state emergency you want be able to access your funds or get any assistant in time for sure. My brother passed and also banked here. Our family went through hell and high water to access and close his acct even with the correct documents. They kept his money. And it been almost a year. Recommend you Bank somewhere else.

Sandra Holloman1This is the worst bank anyone can get a loan from. I got an auto loan from them. It was for my daughter. Now they are saying my account for an auto loan is 35 payments behind. If that's the case why do I still have this car why is this car still in my possession. My car payment is $173 per month. I suppose to be finish paying for this account in March but yet I still owe them $2000+ dollars. I been paying this loan since 2014. Now I am stuck with them another 5 years because I am going to pay them whenever I want to. There interest is way too high. Then I got a warranty when I first got this car that didn't pay for nothing. I hate Sharonview. I wouldn't dare let them finance me nothing else. They can take this car for late payments because it stays in the shop.

Brittany Hurt1worst bank to deal with for auto loans can never speak to anyone unless you wait hours or days!!! most difficult bank I have ever seen to make a paymeny! once this loan is over I will never do business with this bank again! horrible at customer service!!!!!!!! Nathan1Where is the outside ATM at the new Shelby location ??? Whi is it so hard to access my accounts. Here I am needing to deposit a large check and now I have no access to an ATM unless during banking hours. How ridiculous is this idea?!?! Do I need to close my accounts and take my business to a competitor? Starting to look that way!!!

Phillip Wingender1If I could give them a 0, I would. I have a bank in Texas and 2 in Kansas. I have credit accounts at at various banks and merchants. I moved to north Carolina about 6 months ago. I was advised to get a local bank/financial institution to cash checks and to write checks. My bank in Kansas ( the wetmore national bank aka gn bank) advised me that it would be difficult to write checks cause my bank is out of state now. So, I opened up a account at sharonview so I would have a local financial institution. Well, well well. Things were pretty good for awhile. I was writing checks all over Shelby nc drawn on a Kansas bank. Nobody ever really seemed concerned that they were out of state checks. I never wrote one check on sharonview, not one. Everyone was accepting checks drawn on my Kansas bank. I received (2) checks in the mail. One check was for less than $40 from a merchant in Kansas. The other one was less than $1000 from usaa, my bank in Texas. The usaa check was made out to me and my wife. I had way more in the bank to cover the checks should they be fraudulent of bounce. The want us to open a joint account (my wife and I') and then put a hold on the check. I questioned this and was told this was policy. I knew how my Kansas bank would handle it. I asked to speak to an officer. The officer said they can put a hold on any check they want. I told her I bank at several banks for just this reason, and I can bank at any bank I want. I'm done, just close me out. They didn't seem to care one bit. So, if I can't cash my checks there when I have an account there, I have to endorse the check and mail it to Kansas, everyone in Shelby is accepting my Kansas out of state checks, and harmonies acts like a big bank who can careless wether you bank there or not the solution is simple. WHAT THE HELL DO I NEED THEM FOR??? WHAT THE HELL DO I NEED ANY OF THESE SHELBY NC BANKS FOR. Me and my Kansas bank are doing fine and nobody hassles me about writing an out of state checks. The solution was simple.
