Sharon Stewart3Sharonview gave us a start on our credit journey. Interest rates was lower than we was paying for our vehicle that they refinanced for us. I’m a little irritated now though. I checked the balance on our vehicle last month because I knew it was payoff time. The balance was 181 and some change but they have now taken the entire car payment amount out of my husband’s bank account. Not happy at all about this, we was not prepared for a full payment when the account said otherwise. Will be contacting his bank to stop payment this morning.

Cassidy Jones5SO SO impressed with Sharonview and Vince in particular. Initially, I reached had applied for an auto loan and the girl, Ashley, who assisted me didn't bother to delve deeper into my financials and just denied me. I opened a checking account to have my mortgage drafted from and Vince called me to finalize it. While talking, I mentioned the loan. He checked it out and realized he COULD get me approved. I had a very tricky situation trying to buy a car from a private seller which ended up falling through. I then found a car at a dealership and Vince finalized everything with ease and a positive attitude. Super impressed!

Patricia Mitchell1I’ve been with Sharonview since I was a teenager. The service in the past two years has drastically declined. If you want a bank that will wrongfully terminate your bank account, pull money from the wrong accounts, overcharge the agreed upon interest on loans (without your knowledge), pull money from your accounts without telling you, not allow you to deposit money into your own account, and accidentally deposit and withdraw your money to random people, this is the bank for you! They’ve literally closed the doors in our faces when we have gone up in person trying to rectify these situations and they have an “oh well” attitude when they mistakenly mess up your bank account. My account was just wrongfully closed for the (I forgot what number we’re on now) time so I took the opportunity to find a new bank. If you care for your finances at all, do yourself a favor... take your money anywhere but here.

Been with sharonview for 4 years, Only problem I had at first was I had to Cancel over draft protection on 4 different occasions before it stooped (at least I thought it did) me and my wife open a new account under her name and things were still trying to come out of our old account, they denied it coming out of savings which was great because I didn't want over draft, However they charge you for every attempt that was made which they took out of our new account, The took out over 100$ over those attempts, the lady my wife spoke with on the phone after finally getting a hold of someone was rude and had no interest in helping with why money is being took out of our new account for an old account that wasn't supposed to be used! I have absolutely had it and will be Glad when I can Change banks!! I hope some of you have had a better banking experience then us! Please do a little research before joining.

Robert Brand1They have awful customer service and never call you back after telling you that they will. And they always have a reason when you call and ask what's going on. For example here's my story. I bought a car from a member of this Credit Union and they were supposed to notify me when the title came in so I can take it to my Credit Union across town, who is my lien holder. They were trying to helpful. They advised that it would be in later that day and worse case scenario they would call me back before the end of the day and give the status of the title's whereabouts. After two days of no contact I called them. The title was supposed to be mailed to them Monday and arrive Tuesday. On Thursday I was able to speak to them when I called and I was told it hadn't even been mailed by the time the transaction had already taken place on Tuesday. Which is not what I was told Tuesday. They advised me that it was now being mailed to my Credit Union to make it go faster and that it was sent Tuesday. I was told that if I wanted I could have a tracking number to track the shipment myself. I agreed and was then told that they didn't actually have the tracking number in front of them and the person that did was gone on lunch. They said they would call me back when that person came back from lunch, and the took my information down. This was at 1:30pm. By 4:30pm there had still been no phone call. They have told me on several occasions that they would call me back and they never do. And when I turn around and call the agent direct they don't answer. It typically takes me 3-4 calls to actually have someone answer. And of course my Credit Union is now getting angry because they made an agreement over the phone with this agent and have already made payment and have yet to receive the title. I had to call and my Credit Union and explain what they told me to get my Credit Union off my back.

Joseph Coward5This is no doubt the best, most customer friendly credit union in the area. I am a member with several, and with this one in particular my auto loan experience was terrific. 2.9 percent on a 12 year-old car with no money down, shut the front door, man. My approval took 15 minutes....as long as you are a resident in Gaston county it costs 5 bucks to join. Finally a credit union that values not just people but also good credit!

Kaylie Mullis2The staff Is always friendly and helps with most all question and concerns. However I gave it two stars because I've canceled overdraft 3 different times already and they're still letting stuff come out when it's not supposed to.... I guess that's what banks do to get money.
