Select Federal Credit Union Reviews

Isaac Gonzalez1My brother died in a car accident back in November 2021 due to the actions of another driver. The car was my mothers and was financed from SFCU, and of all the awful things my mother has had to deal with, none of it compares to how horrible this bank has been treating her. Insurance and our lawyers have practically guaranteed to pay them what they’re due from the car, but they continue to harass my mother and even froze her bank card because God forbid an insurance claim takes more than a couple months to resolve. All this while she is struggling with the loss of a child. If I could give this bank anything lower than a 1-star, I would. I do not recommend that you or a loved one bank with this org.

angela barrett5I've read all the rating and can't believe what I've read. I have never had a bad experience with inside tellers or in the drive thru. Maria especially has been very helpful and patience. I guess things has changed over the years

Mrs G1I give them 10 👎🏼. Terrible management. I needed to skip 1 payment due to medical emergency, and first had to pay $25 to see if I even qualified! Turns out I didn’t qualify because I was a few days late during the pandemic 😧 I may have been no more than 5-10 days late a few times but I always paid them. Now they wanna say this when on my credit report I’m reported On Time 🤯 I plan on filing a report on this credit union.

Doug Sherrill5This is an amazing bank with amazing people. They have went above and beyond to work with me during a very rough and difficult personal dilemma in my life. Mrs Trish is the absolute best! She is very honest and a very caring person. If you are upfront with this establishment, they will help. Thank you Select FCU for being there in my time of need.

j M1I've been a customer for more then Ten years. I can't believe I was question about a payment of three hundred. I know I was late but was putting more then four thousand dollars into the account. I do things a sort of way to keep track of my account. But the teller tells me that I cant when I've been doing it for years is absurd. I never had any problems with this bank but it dont take much to make a customer upset. This loan is not my first I have paid off with this bank. And I was planning on getting a new vehicle finance but thankyou lady my service with this bank will be no longer be on going.

Alicia Sebastian1I wish I could give this place 0 stars because of how inconsistent and rude the entire staff is at the newest location on I-H 35. My husband and I have had a savings account with Select for more than 3 years and have always had issues with feeling discriminated against, especially in cases when we deposit large checks. Just recently I received a few sizable checks and went into my local branch to cash them. I receive direct deposits to this account and other sizable deposits and this has been the case since opening our account. Never once have we had a check returned or received any overdraft fees. I went in just 2 weeks ago with a check for over $5,000 and I was allowed to pull at least $2,000 pending the 10 day hold. I was told the reason why was because of our positive account record and the fact that we were STAR members. The check cleared and all was well. This week I deposited another check and was told I would not be able to receive ANYTHING because that was their policy.... Wait a minute. That's a huge contradiction from what I was told just 2 weeks before. The teller was so rude when I questioned her on it, I asked why am I not able to draw any money out like I did last time and she said yea I remember you because I gave you the money last time, but I just can't today. The customer before me was able to pull $500 out on her check that was placed on the same type of hold, I heard the whole exchange, so I was really confused and upset. I waited on the manager at her suggestion and she told me the same lie so I asked for her manager. She lied and said that she was in a meeting but when I said I wouldn't leave she can out of her office yelling at me telling me that she would have me removed from the building. I did not curse or get loud but she yelled at me calling me a racist for questioning why I was refused but the Hispanic member was not. I have felt many times that because we are African-American living on the Eastside of town we are not treated fairly and have to jump thru hoops to get proper respect as customers. I am patiently waiting for the hold to be removed so that we can take all of our money from this place and give our business to a bank that values all their members the same. I will also make a complaint to the BBB.

Renée Garza Robles1I went to the branch sharing and they gave me a loan off my income tax. It did not require to be on hold for 7 days. After I took a substantial amount out of my account, they had the nerve to tell me that it would be placed on hold. Why when they had already given me half of the income tax. Then they kept blaming Security service for not putting it on hold. Hello dumb a$$3$ you are my bank not Security svc. No one could tell me who had the money on hold the dumb manager who took over a 2 hr lunch decided to tell me that ssfcu has it on hold stupid Linda sent me a letter explaining that select has it on hold. You go in or call they are rude. I gave them the same treatment they gave to me except they didn't like my treatment. I think they all need some customer service training. The manager is an idiot she can probably learn some more skills of management training. Lol Rudest people ever at select.
