Logan Smith5I held an auto loan from SECU with my ex, so when I got a new car, I applied for financing through SECU again. They made it incredibly easy. Applied online, emailed copies of documents, walked in the next day to pick up my check. I worked with Holly in the Salisbury branch and she was great! She asked tons of questions to make sure I was set up perfectly in a way that made sense for my needs. Overall a seamless, pleasant experience!

Rendalynn Simpson1Paperwork that was submitted two years ago was missing. Why? Couldn't do anything necessary for us to be there. What a wasted trip. Need a loan because my husband has been out of work since December. Hard hearted female dog.

R3B3LMD1(My big issues lack accountability, customer service, ease of use, and being able to pay my credit card) This use to be a good credit union my opinion has changed here over the last few months. I have been with this Credit Union since 2012. They where one of my first and my first credit card. About 2 years ago they decided to computer tellers that are not local employees but outsourcing the jobs to a different location outside of the local market where the branch is located. Since then my account had its automatic alerts turn off and lost about 60 bucks from fees. I had no idea money was coming out. Which okay that’s my fault but still should of been being alerted money was coming out. The credit card is my current issue with not being able to pay it on there website if it’s not their checking or savings account. On top of hat found out that my auto pay had been turn off mind you I have had the account for 6 years and during a system overhaul couple years ago it appears it deleted my auto pay account. So I was almost late on a payment and to make a payment I have to call in and wait on the phones and hope they don’t hang up on me during transferring to the right department because none of the departments in the option list can take external accounts. I was suppose to be called back never happens by two different employees. Do what you want with this information but to me this is a terrible run credit union.

Jordan MacKenzie1This Bank and branch have no concept of loyalty or customer service. I have had most of my personal accounts as well as all of my small business banking here and have learned some hard lessons of what true incompatensy look like . I have never been so disgusted by non responsive behavior from both the branch and also called higher ups before in my life. Not only has my money been held with no response from the bank but after the bank missed my appointment there has been no effort to make up for wasting my time. I am now over a week with no response as to me being able to pick up my money that I pulled form closing my accounts. It has also come to my attention that my accounts were not closed properly and no one who works for Secu is able to answer questions as to what happened. Now my funds seem to have been misplaced rather being released to me with properly. I would truly look at all other options to avoid any headaches in the future. I've also tried to lodge a complaint to the corporate office and the office does not have a working phone line... super unimpressed

Norma M5I love banking at SECU. However, I didn't know the hours of operation so I Google them, only to find conflicting information. When you first look at the information that comes up it reads Drive thru opens at 8am, but after really searching and reading older posts I see they open at 8:30 am. This needs to be updated. I sat in the line 30 minutes waiting for them to open. If this was updated I could have planned my arrival better. Please update this.

Linda Holland5Before the pandemic, I was in a real jam as I was unaware my time of home equity to borrow from had expired and I had made out a check from it for a large amount to pay bills. When I discover checks were bouncing I went immediately to SECU and a loan officer assisted me immediately and assisted me with an immediate individual loan and arranged for renewal of my home equity service. She was most understanding and efficient in helping me with a critical problem! Thank you SECU!

Mark Swift3Overall I'm pleased with being a SECU member, however there are some negatives to its service. First of all, they no longer have tellers in this branch, all are video tellers from Baltimore or somewhere like that. Loan officers and other bank services still have people though. Also, I am on a joint account with my wife but she cannot view the mobile banking with her own login because she is the secondary owner on the account.

Jared Blackmire1Was having an issue with a check I was depositing after not having any issues depositing another similar check and now customer service says they have no way of getting ahold of this branch!! WHAT?? They said they tried calling and just got a voicemail!! How is it possible that someone at corporate or customer service has NO WAY of getting ahold of someone in this building to verify information. Now I have to potentially wait a week to have my money available from a WELLS FARGO check I deposited. Not personal, but A Wells Fargo corporate check. I can’t wait to rip every penny out of this bank that cant even communicate efficiently within its own business structure. It does not pay to keep money local people!

robert edwards1Terrible online support. Can’t even pay a loan from an external account. I pay my bills a portion every week. And I was told I have to call or visit a local branch to make payments from an external account. So I now have to call and wait on hold for forever each week to make a payment or go to the local branch every week. Fix your online system. It’s terible

Raymond Kellar145 years ago SECU was an efficient, well-run operation. Today - AWFUL. Perhaps this organization has gotten too large to handle telephone calls (been on HOLD for 25 minutes). Insurance forms don't get handled for mortgage services. I hope the Board of Directors reads these comments. Changes need to be made.
