Seattle Credit Union (Downtown Branch) Reviews

Deidre Cantrell1I deal with many, many banks. I have not experienced this amount of disorganization and chaos since the days when I used to bank with Bank of America. Seattle CU might be worse. Expect to never be able to make a quick call to them. All calls will take 1 to 2 hours. Don't expect any results from those long calls. You will have to call again for the same thing 5 to 10 times, spending another 1 to 2 hours each time. Or, maybe your issue will never get resolved and you will think of moving banks, which is where I am now. What you save in bank fees, you will pay for with your valuable time.

Al5I have been a customer of Seattle Credit Union for several years and I have been pleased over and over again and with incredibly attentive service, excellent banking policies, and most importantly the refreshing feeling of being treated like a human being. Everything about my experiences with Seattle Credit Union so far have the undertone of cooperation. They want to provide services that benefit both of us, not just them. Never once have I seen the crocodile smile that is so common from your average corporate bank employee. In particular Shayla B at the downtown branch has been great to work with on several occasions.

C Gye5Today, I paid off the remaining balance of my car loan and teller #267 (kind of dumb SCU does not provide the person's name on the receipt like other business establishments) was very kind and helpful. When I expressed my joy, she genuinely shared it too and congratulated me! Plus, I didn't have to wait very long in line, even though it was close to noon. I was in and out quickly, leaving with the lobby a smile on my face!

Douglas Gibson1Firstly, they changed the mobile app, which took 2 days and they only warned me with an email on the day of turning it off, so i couldnt move money for 2 and a half days. I constantly get overdrafted, you cannot turn off the feature and each time it costs you $28 (ive been overdrafted at least 20 times), even if you overdraft 12 cents you will be charged $28 or 233%. The new app forces me to verify daily maybe even twice or three times either through a text or a call, and so if your phone service is either bad or off like mine right now, you cannot access your account to see if its OVERDRAFTED. It also FREQUENTLY just gives me a message saying i cant get into my account for no reason and to just call in which takes 30 minutes and usually they just hang up on you. ALSO when you deposit a check it says it takes 2 business days to be able to access it, but almost every time i deposit my paycheck i cannot access it for 5 days. The people inside the bank were nice and all but after 2 years of this inconsiderate trash I am closing my account forever. - An Unsatisfied Customer

Feras Abou-Zaki1BEWARE OF THIS CREDIT UNION, I am extremely disappointed in the employee ( Enrique Mota )he is the most unprofessional employee we have ever encountered he lies to his customers about other companies products to sell his own which are the same products but he takes the money from other hard working employees beware dealers and customers of this employee and possibly the whole Credit union structure. They are very uneducated in professionalism and they really should educate more on there integrity

Irene Haines4Been a member for 30 years. Staff are professional and helpful. Downtown branch is the busiest; hence you might get slower service. Southcenter and Northgate area are my first choices plus parking is easier. Pretty good rates and services comparable with most credit unions.

Lyn Hunter5Their customer service is really great. I just had a nice exchange with their downtown branch about a notary public. They emailed me with the text I needed. This isn't even their area of expertise and they were so helpful about it. Thanks SMCU! (P.S. Really love their banking services too)
