Not too surprised since this is Great Falls but this is by far the worst Credit Union I've seen. The outdated website and ugly layouts make this credit union hard to defend. The Credit Union itself looks like it belongs in a ghetto and the staff isn't friendly either. Going to Re-finance ASAP with a more professional credit union.

A year ago, we refinanced our home loan with Russell Country FCU and were excited to have them keep the loan in house--not being sold off to some big national corporation. Since then, we have had them finance a couple other recreational loans and are in the process of moving our checking account over to them from another local credit union. We have been extremely pleased with the friendliness, professionalism and knowledge of all the staff that have helped us--Britany, Dallas, Irene, the ladies in the drive through and even those answering the phone when I call. Thank you for being a local banking institute that truly cares about your clients.

      Response from the owner

Thanks for the great review, Kim! We're glad you've received such great service with all your transactions.

I have been a member of Russell Country Federal Credit Union since my father set it up when I was a baby. Since then I have boughten numerous vehicles and have had multiple loans. I was having serious issues with my SUV and needed to trade it in. The manager denied my request because I had bought my other one too recently and I had a loan out for my wedding. BTW I have credit score over 800.She said I should just work on paying my loan off. So I went to my other bank (US Bank) withdrew the cash and paid off the loan. Traded my vehicle I and went with First Interstate Bank instead. I called up after to cancel my gap insurance and I was told that I would be receiving a refund of $170. I was waiting for the refund and then was going to close my account t. I called to check up on it and the manager Jan was an absolute snot and said that it is just the way it is and there is no refund even though I was told there was. This credit union is horrible they have no problem taking money from you but over a $170 they will tell you to kick sand. Also they add interest percentages to loans so they can make more money even if you qualify for the rate. Home town credit union???.... yeah right!!!! They are the biggest crock, I will never do business with them again and if you are smart you wouldn’t either.

I had been with Russel country fcu since i was 15. Started with thier bank in Fairfield and then went to the great falls location... Had taken a couple loans and successfully paid them off. Went in for a loan and they denied me because my score was 1 point under their scale. Didnt offer any solutions to help me so i closed my account. Would not recommend to anyone!!!!!!!

Your answering service is by far the worst I have ever experienced. I just want to talk to a real person, are the employees there not required to answer the phone when it rings? I have called 10 times and left messages. Horrible customer service.
