Regions Bank Reviews

Jennifer Feliciano1The worst bank that will charge you any fee possible. Im a single mom that had my account from regions bank over-drafted due to struggling to paying my bills and having no choice but to pull out the money to pay my bills and obviously when I got my work check I was going to deposit it to make my account positive again. I deposited my check from my job. Same check I deposit every week and then this bank wants to put my check on hold for 2 weeks!? Because my account was negative? I’m trying to my my account positive and they decide to hold my ONLY income I have for 2 WEEKS!!!! I also have other bills I have due today and now I’m going to have much more penalties for late fees on not paying my bills in time. I went to my local branch to take the hold off as the customer service line told me to do and the teller guy tells me oh well your going to have to wait 2 weeks I can’t help you. Of course my response is once I get my check I’m shutting down my account and going to Open an account else where. The teller then tells me okay no problem have a good day and walks away. THIS IS HOW THEY TREAT A LOYAL CUSTOMER THATS BEEN WITH THEM FOR A FEW YEARS! It’s truly heartbreaking how a multimillion bank wants to take money from low budget people during a pandemic. I would give this bank zero stars if I could. Please do your research. The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) took legal action against Regions Bank for charging overdraft fees to consumers who had not opted-in for overdraft coverage, fining the company $7.5 million for its improper actions. Regions Bank, headquartered in Birmingham, Alabama, operates approximately 1,700 retail branches and 2,000 ATMs across 16 states. It is one of the country’s biggest banks with more than $119 billion in assets. Among its various products and services, Regions offers overdraft services with its checking accounts. In 2010, federal rules took effect that prohibited banks and credit unions from charging overdraft fees on ATM and one-time debit card transactions unless consumers affirmatively opted in. If consumers don’t opt-in, banks may decline the transaction, but won’t charge a fee. The “opt-in” rule took effect in July 2010 for new accounts and August 2010 for existing accounts.
Response from the ownerHi, Jennifer. Deposit holds can be placed for several reasons. We understand this caused an inconvenience and would be glad to see when the hold will release. If you send us your phone number to [email protected], we'll reach out. -Tyler

Nanee in Nature1WORST BANK EVER, not only did they mismanage my money I’ve been charged more in fees the I pay in bills. Customer reps (not all but more than 5) are beyond rude and hang up. I’d make a chime account before I’d ever trust REGIONs with another penny of mines . It’s so frustrating especially in these challenging times to not have access to money I WORK HARD FOR. Thank you, but NEXT!!

David Stoyka4They have an outdoor ATM, and a drive thru thought - the Drive Thru is hard to find. Here's how you get there. The bank it on Okeechobee - a one way street. Drive past the 525 Regions Bank street entrance - 20 feet after the entrance, on the right, there is a driveway going thru the building. After that there's signs directing you to the drive thru. Make sure you do not take the driveway before the 525 building into the Hibiscus garage. That will not get you there. But if you need to go into the bank then the best place to park is the Hibiscus garage.

Melissa “Mel” Torres4Very beautiful and great location. Though their drive thru is in a weird location. Right at the entrance of the parking garage behind the building. You can park in the city parking structure first hour free and walk right into the bank.
