Regions Bank Reviews

Richard King1Has to be the worst banking experience dealing with the individuals at this branch I have ever had. They really act as though they don’t care if you do business there or not. Since now only one location to use and it’s accessibility, parking, and drive thru just add to the bad experience. We moved all of our services to a different bank.
Response from the ownerWe're sorry to hear that you are no longer with us. We'd also like to apologize for any frustration you have had. If we can ever assist you, please send us an email to [email protected]. -Ana

Emily McKinney1I want to give them less than a 1 star. They have taken money from me without permission and moved it between my accounts. They told me I didn’t know how to read and that I personally made these transactions when I did not. Instead of trying to help me, they put me down as if I was incompetent. Truly awful how customers are treated by them. No one answered my questions they simply went around them. I wouldn’t trust them with anything ever again. Horrible.
Response from the ownerWe'd like to apologize for your experience you had when visiting your local branch. If our team can speak with you, please send us an email to [email protected]. -Ana

Patrick Tate1I have done business with Regions Bank for years. I have several accounts and my mortgage with them. Their online banking system and bill pay etc. are great and easy to use. However, you can no longer make banking deposits through drive through and that has become very frustrating. The windows are "open" but you will wait sometimes as long as 30-45 to simply make a deposit to their bank. You can try to use the ATM but it will not allow deposits half the time. It is beyond frustrating that their lack of customer service has gotten to a point that you can make simple banking transactions. I will no deal with the Fort Payne Branch any longer when making bank deposit or any other window transactions.
Response from the ownerWe're sorry to hear that you experience an extended wait time when visiting, Patrick. Our team is happy to take a look at these concerns and have them documented. Please send us your phone number in an email to [email protected] and we'll call you. -Ana

Ralph Curry1The lobby has been closed for weeks, can’t make deposits at the atm so I had to use the drive thru. Looks like they have 1 teller working the drive thru. Had to wait 15 minutes just to make a deposit. This regions has always been slow, but now is worse. I don’t understand why they closed the other Fort Payne branch

Da'lysha Bell5Only giving 5 stars because of Dina she has an awesome personality and made sure that we got everything done that we needed for our new account we opened ! Great worker . If they hired more people it probably wouldn’t be that backed up in the drive through sometimes the lobby is open but they also have a line in there.
Response from the ownerWe're so glad that, Dina, was able to help! Thank you for stopping by! 😊

H B1The employees they do have are fantastic seem to work hard, work as quickly as possible and do the best they can, however the wait at this branch has ALWAYS been a problem. My assumption would be due to lack of staff. No idea. When there were two branches in town they were slow, when they closed one branch- still slow. They closed their lobby (except to appointments) due to the pandemic. Which is understandable except they only have 2/3 drive thru lines open and lines are constantly wrapped around the building most of the day. It makes NO sense whatsoever.
Response from the ownerWe're sorry to hear of your extended wait time but appreciate the feedback on this location. We'll be sure to have this documented. -Tyler

Rick Hughes1Friday 6/4 11:am. Website says open 9 to 5 but the lobby is closed with a huuuge line at the drive thru teller. Finally got an answer on the phone and they said they were under staffed. During Covid they were constantly closing the lobby due to Sickness. Time to find another bank that can stay open!
Response from the ownerHi, Rick. We're very sorry to hear of your experience at this location. If you send us an email to [email protected] with your phone number, we'll call to learn more and ensure this matter is documented. -Tyler

John Vaughn1I went to the regions in Fort Payne on 6/4. I tried to go in the lobby to deposit a check, and the lobby was locked. There were cars wrapped around the building. I don't know what is going on at this bank, but you'd think they would at least be able to answer the dang phone. I am not a happy customer!!!
Response from the ownerWe're sorry to hear of your experience, and we've made sure to make our Complaints team aware. If we can help you with any account specific questions that you weren't able to have answered by the branch, please send us an email to [email protected]. -Tyler

Hayley Avant1I’ve used regions for a long time and loved the bank. Recently they closed the branch closest to our business. Now we have to travel to the middle of town to make our deposits. As if that isn’t enough, we wait anywhere from 20-45 minutes in the drive through line to make our deposits. During one service the person made my deposit but didn’t even say anything but just sent my receipts through. Most of the time, I’m coming on my lunch break and spend most of it or all of it in the line at the bank. There are 2 atms but they are usually backed up and the line inside is even worse. Closing that branch was the worst business decision they have made. Our whole family is switching banks due to this inconvenience. The drive through and atm especially is supposed to be time efficient and convenient but now I dread having to come to the bank due to long waiting times before you’re even assisted.
