Prosperity Bank Reviews

MaC N.1FALSE ADVERTISING on company sites. Went to this Bank on 3512 Preston Rd., before the lobby closing at 6p on Fridays! To my surprise & anger the lobby was closed BEFORE 6P! Only the drive thru was opened. Why i couldn't use the drive thru? I took the public transit bus to get there. Problem. Now it seems that ALL branches are closed on weekends except the drive thru. Nevermind if customers need to come inside to do business, if they can't use the drive thru. So now I'll have close my accounts & open up a new one with another bank that's open on weekends. Woodforest Bank here I come.
Response from the ownerThank you for your feedback. Due to a limited staff last week, this banking center closed at 4 p.m. and signage is posted on the doors. We do our best to make sure our banking center hours are updated properly on the website. Please contact us at 1-800-531-1401 so we can make this right. We hate to see you go.

K L1The drive thru manager (lady with black/brown curly hair) always greets me with a rude attitude whether I go through the drive thru or go inside. This branch also doesn’t have enough help and wait times are longer than other locations, especially if you need to speak to a banker. Would not recommend this location or Prosperity bank. Lots of fraud has occurred ever since they switched from Legacy Texas. I have given it time but I just don’t feel my money is secure with this bank.

Brandon Furman1Legacy bank was great and their people were too. Prosperity Bank is not. Prosperity just bought Legacy. For those of us that want a small bank, go elsewhere. Their service is not good. They are just like a big bank. I was on hold yesterday for 40 minutes and I waited for almost 20 minutes for someone to answer my online chat. I then asked for a supervisor to call me and the online chat person said they would try to get me a supervisor. No call... yet. Today I try to do some online banking and their system is down. This is my first couple dealings with Prosperity. I give them an F!!Hope this doesn’t go upon deaf ears at Prosperity but y’all did not prepare for the change over from Legacy. Bad bad bad. Got it together already.
Response from the ownerHi Brandon, Thank you for sharing your feedback and we apologize for your negative experience. We did experience longer hold times during the conversion and have since then added resources and additional staff to accommodate our new LegacyTexas customers. We are committed to providing exceptional customer service and hope you give us another opportunity to do so!

Jennifer Castro5I've had my accounts at LegacyTexas since it was Plano Bank and Trust (same great people!), nearly 30 years now. I frequent two different branches, one close to my home, and one close to my office. I'm greeted by name at both locations EVERY time I go in or pull up in the drive-through. My employer has all corporate accounts at Legacy Texas, and my husband's business does as well. That's nine accounts I work with regularly, and the staff is always helpful and friendly. The new account process is easy, and loan processing is fast. So grateful for this gem of a bank who still has that small town town feel with the resources of a big city bank. Thanks, LegacyTexas!

Erik Hubner3I've used this bank for more than 5 years. Don't get the three star review wrong, they don't mess up handling your money, and they will remember you by face when ever you walk in! Just for your sanity's sake - don't order a debit card from legacy texas bank unless you have a good 2-7 week waiting period free.

Russ Mayers1I was treated rather rudely this morning (6-23-18), when I only wanted to take out some cash in the lobby. I explained to the teller that I needed fresh bills for birthday cards that I was sending to my nieces. Imagine my surprise when she told me that I was out of luck. She never bothered checking another cash drawer, nor did she make any attempt to go to the back to check for fresh bills. She said I could try back in July! When I at last said I would make do with the bills she had, she said, "Trying to make yourself feel better by telling yourself that?" Wow. Kinda sarcastic. The lobby was practically empty, and I didn't think my request was that much of an imposition.
