PNC Bank Reviews

The Man With No Name (The Good)5although a little crowded right before closing for the day, it was a pleasant experience and very professional. as my personal banking choice, it's the place to have an account of any type if you want security. very strict, very thorough, online banking and bill pay have some stipulations in place that are more than the usual security. as a matter of fact, it is very difficult to have a another institution deposit money without difficulty if you have to go through a PLAID verification. PNC and plaid do not communicate it cost me $1,000 loan even though I was approved, PNC would not allow the deposit. five stars for everything else

Mike & Clo1WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE. Worst banking experience my boyfriend and I have ever had, one minute you have money in your account then next its all double pending going negative! They ask you if you want to sign in for overdraft and even if you opt out you unknowingly automatically have overdraft anyway. Completely messed up my money and bank account!

Nick M2PNC froze all of my accounts because my wife tried using the cardless ATM feature. I'm not sure why that was suspicious but they did it. I stopped by this branch to get it sorted. They weren't letting people in the building without an appointment so I put my name and number on a list and was told 20 minutes. I waited 45 minutes in my car before I called to find out what was going on. I was then told another 20 minutes. After waiting a total of 1.5 hours I walked back inside and explained what was going on. During small talk the lady had the audacity to ask me why PNC wasn't my main financial institution. Ironically enough I also ended up with the same banker who had blown me off for the last 1.5 hours. Luckily he turned out to be a decent guy. He ended up having to call PNC corporate which put us on hold for another hour. If I had known the branch couldn't fix my issue I would've called corporate myself and saved 1.5 hours of my life. This gentleman also asked me why I bank mainly with Chase rather PNC. I think the answer to that question is evidently clear.

Chad Gnadinger1Fee hungry bank hiding behind smiles. While the front line folks are friendly and courteous, it doesn't go far when tellers can't handle simple transactions like cashing a check. They want to change a fee for cashing a check that you, their customer, made out to a non PNC account holder. Corporate talking points is about safety, but in the end it's about their profit. If I write a check to someone, they deposit it at their bank and withdraw funds the next day is all at no cost, but if they want cash now, that's a fee. Sad. They closed my small PNC branch that knew me and had a personal feel, now that they have consolidated it may be time to find another bank.

Jason K2After 7 years with this bank, I am leaving them. The people locally are nice, but their hands are tied by corporate. If you ever need a loan....or anything else where years of having business and personal accounts with them should really count....you're left out in the cold. I wish I had known this 7 years ago, when I opened all my accounts with them. I've now wasted 7 years of relationship building. They also recently started banging my business accounts with nickel & dime fees. Again, nice people locally (not like the people at any other bank are gonna cuss you out & be mean though), but the decisions are left up to faceless corporate policies. You know those commercials that say "You're more than just a credit score!"......they aren't PNC commercials.

Shelly Wells1If you cash a check written on PNC, you shouldn't have to pay a fee to cash it--they know if that money is in the account because it shows in their system. This is the only bank I've ever seen to charge a fee to cash their own check. It's ridiculous. Change banks because this one is absolutely terrible.

Robert Davis1Dread going into the branch, try to save in-branch transactions for when in Jefferson County. The business management crew has a demonstrated lack of service and energy.

Matthew Davidson2Recently tried to cash a check written to me by a customer of PNC bank lagrange. The teller at the counter said that they could not cash it because the bank would have to order the money and it would take a week before the funds would arive. This bank is an Absolute joke. No courtesy. If u are written a pnc bank check I would not accept it and will not ever again. A bank that size not to have enough money to cover all of their customers checks is a pointless institution. Long story short pnc bank lagrange branch is terrible. They do not care about their customers. Will never do business with them and will do everything I can to convince others not to as well.

THANK YOU JESUS1Pnc bank is charging for a print of my bank statements.. They call it a free account.. Well that's not at all what they charge.. Recommend not using a corporate bank at all.

Shannon Spicer1Never again will I do business in PNC Lagrange. I left my bank card at home and I had my ID and my Social security card as proof. The lady was rude and hateful and said that my ss# wasn't a valid ID. .. what a hassle
