Planters Bank Reviews

Roxanne Boyd3It's a decent bank but it could be better. You get $2 a month if you have e-checking and you earn points when you use your card as credit which can be redeemed for cash. I feel like they should be open for a few hours on Saturday. I noticed on Friday, after business hours, that my account had been overdrawn. I have the money to cover the overage but I have to wait until Monday to deposit it. I will not be happy if I get charged fees when it could have been taken care of today.

Alysha Winters3Always friendly. Slightly slow in the drive through. But my problem is- no customer service on weekends???!!! So if you need to dispute something or have a question and/or problem with your card, you're screwed till Monday.

Gregory Cole1Specifically the loan manager Anita Black. We have communicated with her from the end of September regarding a home loan. We mailed her, and she received, all of our documentation on October 3, 2018. Since that time we have repeatedly called, leaving messages for Anita. At this point (10/22/2018) she has never return any of our calls. 🤔 We also today called & we were told she was there, but again she could not take our call. Not sure what we did to her to be ignored like this but she should at least tell us if she does not wish to work with us. We would understand and find another. Leaving us in limbo weeks is quite rude. We were referred by our real estate representative.

Theresa Hibbs5I have been with Planters Bank in Dawson Springs for years and cannot imagine banking anywhere but here. Everyone is friendly and will go out of their way to help you. I feel like every staff member is a personal friend. I have just returned from an extended trip to Chicago (my old hometown) and while there, was reminded of WHY Chicago is my FORMER hometown. It is cold there in more than one way! Whenever I am away, I miss the personal service so many that live here take for granted. If I have a question or any little problem at all, I know I need only call them and problem solved or question answered. My special thanks to Anita, Lisa and Charlotte for help while I was in the Windy City! I left on September 7th for a granddaughters’ wedding and only just returned on December 7th. That is way too long to be away from Lake Beshear, my adopted hometown and its warm, caring people. I know I should be used to the “personal touch” by now as I have lived here since 1997, but all it takes is a trip away to remind me of why I choose to stay! Thank you once again to the staff of Planters Bank in Dawson Springs. I missed y’all.
Response from the ownerThank you so much Theresa and welcome home! We did miss you but glad you had a wonderful trip. I appreciate your words and we are grateful to assist you in any way. Now, settle back in and have a most blessed Christmas!

Tiffany Adamson1Worst bank I've ever used. They have shut my card off multiple times for no reason, made it hard to access my paycheck, and now they are saying i can't get MY money off my account because I wanted to close my account. That's not okay, it's my money and they shouldn't withhold it from me. Worst bank ever.
