Penn Community Bank Reviews

Pamela S5Small bank that has been incredibly easy to work with. No surprise fees that you get at the big banks. I've been with them for years and when I got married, my husband switched. He couldn't be happier with the move to Penn Community Bank.

Nico F (Whiskerus Maximus)1This bank was my very first bank I ever went to and that was some years ago. I now have experience with how banks are supposed to conduct business that is actually beneficial towards their clients rather than just their own well being. Maybe 6 months or so after I opened a checking/savings account with this bank I received a check in the mail from a supposed college for the study of Hematology. A quick note as to why that check made sense at the time. When I was born my mother donated her placenta to the doctor who birthed me. Immediately when I turned 18 I received the check and thought it to be from that as I asked my mom and she told me that. At the time we didn't have much financially so anything helped, so I cashed said check. After almost 2 weeks of waiting for this check to clear I was notified that the funds were available in my account and that everything was in order. This was around Christmas time so I immediately went out and went Christmas shopping for my family and did so with haste as I was never able to afford such things. Not a week or so after I had spent the money the bank notified me that the check that THEY CLEARED was fake and that I needed to pay the total amount back with interest. This was practically impossible for me to do, especially due to the fact that they offered me very little help in the way of installments which would have left me flat broke. A while after the situation got stagnant I got a notice to appear in court. I tried explaining my situation to the judge who completely denied and shot down my reasoning. The same judge mind you that presides over the same town that this bank does, not 3 streets away. He ruled completely in favor of the bank and it was over in minutes and left me speechless. I won't go into any conspiracy theories I might have since this is a review of the bank but it was pretty shady. Last but not least. I shortly after started dating this girl whose aunt was actually the banks lawyer and saw over that case. This girl told me that one day at a party her aunt found out who I was and degraded my name entirely to my girlfriend whole family. My nightmarish experience aside, I would not recommend this bank. There are other banks out there who are much more generous and helpful and actually have you in mind rather than just their own profiteering.

MB Life of Marie5Straight forward customer service and the simplicity of a small bank. Also the fact that it is community based means they won't invest money into controversial national things like the Standing Rock pipeline but rather in things that will make a difference in Bucks County.
