  I’m not reviewing this location. I’m reviewing Pen Fed. In order to learn about auto financing on line with them and get an IDEA about rates they offer you have to fill out all your personal information including your social. Most institutions will give you a range if you state your credit score and tell you it’s an estimate until they run your score. Well after 1 email and two phone calls during working hours not one return email and they never picked up the phone or returned the call. For an institution that you finance something through it’s important to be able to communicate with them. So buyer beware. They may have a great rate but ZERO customer service. Shop elsewhere.

  I look at PENFED as a banking institution that is somewhat like what Wells Fargo was until they landed in hot water. Always trying to push products on you if you show up in person or via mail. Mostly credit cards, but they also have there hooks in with some unheard of insurance company. Not a week goes by that I don't get some kind of junk in the mail for credit cards or insurance. If I wasn't locked with them for another 3 years I would close what little I have with them out. I no longer have a need to show up in person, nor will i.

  I love my neighborhood Pen Fed Team! Ms. Sue Knott, Ms. Dawn Dugger, and their wonderful Team in Papillion have been nothing short of SPECTACULAR! My family and I have recently relocated to Papillion,Nebraska and we had questions about our PenFed Account that we opened in Guam. (I have always dreaded going to any bank, standing in lines, etc.) They answered all my questions, assisted me with various things I needed done, and all in all, put my fears to rest. I love visiting this branch, because they are Super friendly, and very personable! Please take the time to commend this wonderful Team.   Absolutely the worst bank to finance your home through. They messed up my loan, my escrow and their customer service is horrible. A rep hung up on me. The managers don’t return your phone calls.

  I applied for mortgage application a few days and I tried calling their 1-800 to get a status update and I cannot get through. Why do you have to go through many channels to get someone the phone? This bank is not good for business. You are looking to apply for mortgage then do not apply here. You will get a run around.

  I have not had the chance to visit any of the locations here in NE, but I like to say that I have been a Member of PFCU for 36 years traveling around the world during my Air Force Career. Now retired living in Nebraska for over 20 years I do all my transaction on line. Not once have I seen any financial institutes including other credit unions that can beat the low rates the PFCU has to offer. At present I'm enjoying 1.9% interest rate on a used car loan and a very low Equity loan. that I applied on-line with no hassles. I don't like paying bills on line, but I have to say the PFCU site makes to easy to pay my bills and I enjoy 6.9% fix rate on there Visa Card.
