Bob B4I use the ATM all the time and it works fine. I also often go inside for other banking matters, and they always seem to be very helpful. Their app is also very good. I can use the app most of the time for transactions like depositing checks or transferring money to other accounts. It also has Zelle for money transactions. It also seems secure with two-factor authentication. It seems like the employees are nice people, trying to help other nice people. I used to do my financial transactions at a bank and was always very disappointed by long lines and bad attitude. This credit Union is by far better. I have also used other ATMs in the Bay Area and gone inside to use the branch in San Francisco. Always good results. And the Patelco Sports Park on Bernal Avenue is proof that Patelco invests in the community. Compare that to what banks put their money into, which is their pockets. I could never figure out why there were so many employees at the bank and yet so few people actually helping customers. At the credit union, most of the people working are helping other people all the time.

Richard Bejar2Over-all I am a happy member with Patelco Credit Union. Today, however was frustrating. I called into the 800 Phone support line to get assistance with a shot card. Once I indicated “Card Services,” there was not clarity on how to get to someone who could assist me with my questions regarding my debit card. I finally did speak briefly with a person named “Nancy.” Nancy was annoying in voice tone, lack of competence, and disinterested in assisting me. Just to hep you all out, it’s extremely annoying when I am asked as a member to input my member account number, social security number, then wait on hold, get someone who then wants to ask me all over again for the same information I input on the automated system. Clarification is fine, unnecessary redundancy is annoying, and makes me feel as if the person isn’t paying attention. Nancy had a disinterested tone of voice, and only wanted to quote me Policy, and was of NO help whatsoever. She should be placed in a comfortable back room counting beans, or doing something that doesn’t entail member interaction. Why is she even working with the membership?

For those of you complaining have you gone into other banks they were not helpful at all and rude. Every Patelco I have been I have gotten great service accept East Castro Valley Blvd they seam not too helpful.

Kim Caraballo1If I could give them zero stars I would. The customer service is anything but. The tellers are rude & do not care about their jobs, they say so. They will tell you that they won't be fired because nobody wants to work at this branch. Do better Patelco.

Nick Caraballo1Changed account without notice. ATM only accepts about 10% of bills. Switching banks ASAP. Update: ATM is blank today. Half the time I come in it's broken. When will this machine be replaced? If I have to go inside tomorrow it will be to cancel my account. Way too many issues across the board. Update: Last three times I've been in the ATM doesn't work. Extremely late response regarding teller's comments regarding my daughter. Long overdue for a change, now my departure comes with BBB filings; it's the least I can do.

Paul Dentinger1These guys are somewhat amazing disorganized with credit cards. They also only offer poor home loans and push you pretty hard to take car loans from them. But it's the credit cards that are somewhat terrible. Been trying to increase my limit for two months, and I keep getting conflicting instructions. And then when you do get one, they send quite a few with no information as to who they are for (there's a different one for the wife/kid than for the holder/parent, and you can't tell). Then try to get the things activated, and it is very difficult, because you don't know who they are for or what they are for. Kind of a remarkable mess. I think the issue is that they always want you to come to the branch so the 4 people sitting around doing nothing have something to do. But it is very hard for us to get to the actual branch., as we both work. We are sort of stuck here as we've been with them for a while., but honestly, if it wasn't such a pain to move, I'd move. And I certainly can't recommend this to anyone.

Joy Luv5I was just in Patelco couple hours ago before they close, the customer service there is really great I went in for a cashiers check and the teller was very nice and very helpful as always this is the second time she help me with my cashiers checks for my bills, it’s always great at this Patelco not like the one downtown Oakland city Center....... William Spragge5I love this bank. The staff here are always pleasant. I don't live in the area and visit this location seldom. Once I hadn't been here for two years and the staff recognized me and asked about my family. I was blown away. Very personal, family feel to this Credit union.
