Justin Czaja1Gets worse every time I visit don't even have things services available here that they say they do anymore.atm almost never works properly even compromising account info. not just location but financial union wide has become like a regular bank.. terrible. 6 months since posted this and still not a single thing has been addressed and ATMs are worse than ever.. can't pay bills because they never cleared atm deposit from before memorial day and can't deposit new checks as ATM is down and place is never open.. worse and worse every time I try to do anything with this place

Justin Routhier1By far and away, the worst banking institution in the state of Connecticut. Run! Put your money anywhere else. Tina Wells is the worst customer service person I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with; untrained, unprofessional and needs to find a new job path quickly.

Anna Boose1I later found my new business savings account was subject to a $10 monthly service fee, because l didn’t register the account online. Two other times when opening accounts, the reps told me to register online to avoid fees. Unfortunately, I didn’t notice it until about 6 months later and left messages 3 times with tellers for the branch manager, and never received a call or email. The forth time l asked for the branch manager, l spoke to the customer service relations manager, and he upheld only reimbursement for 3 out of the 6 months. I will be moving all my accounts before the end of the year!

420E1Very poor the way they rushed into ending tellers and put machines that were junk in place of them. The last time i saw a teller no one was known to be out with covid at nutmeg as well. The first to celebrate Junteenth was also a rushed effort. I wished I was at any other bank yesterday, they were all open with tellers and all. i am annoyed I am a part now of a bank looking to please and meet standards as if scared of arrest or something.

sandra Romano1****BEWARE**** The only reason I gave it 1 Star is because zero isn’t an option. I have a car loan through them and have had nothing but problems. They began deducting my loan payment twice per month, then stopped deducting it all together, now every couple of months they state they’re having a problem with my bank’s routing number and insist I have to set up the direct deposit again. So far, I have had to set up direct deposit four, now five times in the last year. It is beyond frustrating. They claim it is my bank, however i have other car loans through different institutions and have no issues. If you like good customer service and low stress stay far, far away from Nutmeg. ****UPDATE**** Jennifer from Nutmeg called and informed me this issue has been resolved. I am not sure if it was due to this review, but the issue was resolved without any further actions from myself. Jennifer was apologetic, pleasant and cooperative. In addition to solving the issue, her pleasant demeanor helped smooth over the situation.

William Douglas1I would not recommend this credit union to anyone. They may be friendly when talk to you, but are not good at following up on things they're supposed to do. A few years ago, I submitted my auto loan payment authorization for electronic payments and it took them 3 months to finally set it up for my account. Due to this delay, I had to pay the processing fee each month, to make my loan payments over the phone. No one answers their direct phone lines when you call them. There's a lot of passive behavior that take place within this organization. As a customer, I am extremely disappointed and embarrassed that I recommended this place to my brother a few years ago. Also, I was in a car accident a few weeks ago and I've been calling several times to get updates on paying off my auto loan, but no one has attempted to follow up with my concern. Every time I call, I speak to a different representative who transfers me to another representative, and it eventually becomes phone tag because I end up getting a voicemail box every time. The customer experience does not seem to be a priority. I won't mention names, but the loan servicing department is to blame to this.
Response from the ownerHi William, I spoke with the representative who spoke to you today. Sounds like your experience is better now, but we are very sorry to hear that you had difficulties along the way. Thanks for sticking with us, we are committed to continue improving your experience with us.

Beth Roberts3I have been a member of this financial institution for many years. Always loved them. Always recommended them as the best credit union. Lately, I have been disappointed with the new changes such as the closing of Wal-Mart locations. Now I have to drive much further. Also ATM inRocky Hill were not working so that meant standing in line. When I asked about the ATMs I was informed they sometimes don't work at the end of the day. What? Ok. That's my rant. Never had to rant before though. I guess times are tough....

Besnik Bicaj5I love this branch. All the the people working there remember you and treat you like family. They give that personal touch other big banks lack.

Joseph Feeney1This place is incompetent! When I got married and added my wife’s name to my checking account, they added all of my loan accounts to my wife’s credit report (no she wasn’t on the loans) dropping her credit score substantially due to a high debt ratio, fast forward they’ve been reporting my loans twice for each account! For 6 1/2 years! I’ve repeatedly tried to get this fixed! I was just declined for my refinance loan because instead of fixing it they DOUBLED IT AGAIN!!!!!!!!

Stephen Muller1Had a signed POD agreement on my Dads savings but when he died I went there with death certificate they would not honor it, said no records of POD, and would not meet with me to discuss problem. Apparently his 88k was more important to them than their integrity so thousands of dollars later with a lawyer I got the money and ended my 40+ years with the bank. (joined back when they were Hartford telephone federal credit union) Took my money to a real bank
