Northrop Grumman Federal Credit Union Reviews

ignacio colin4*THIS POST IS RELATED TO THE BRANCH, ONLY; NOT THE COMPANY AS A WHOLE.* Been a member since 2015. I am pleased with the service I have received from this location. The tellers and personal bankers are all friendly, professional, and courteous. The branch manager (Tracy?) is fantastic. The only reason that I gave them 4/5 stars is because of the wait times (up to 25 mins at a time), and the main detractor is that they don't have a machine on hand to create debit cards. The debit card issue is a huge concern of mine because corporate NGFCU will shut your card off out of nowhere when detect fraud and then you are screwed until the new card arrives. I once waited 2 weeks for a new card to be mailed to me.

Robert Marcotte5I have utilized Northrop Grumman Federal Credit Union, in 3 states, for 25 years now. I have never had a problem with this outstanding credit union. Personnel staff and services have never been anything less than exceptional.

Daniel Schmidt1I use to like this Credit Union. Sure their hours were horrible but they did what I needed them to do. Now I've learn of their dark side. They Customer service sucks to the point of negligence and they really just don't gave a damn about helping you. So June 22th apparently they get a tip that my ATM card has been compromised. So they turn it off without notifying me. Then I discover it on Friday evening when my card doesn't work. I call the 800 number on the card to find out the details from the card company. They have no idea, no security blocks were issued, the bank just said to deny. Great, so now I have to wait until Monday to find out what the hell happened. Then comes Monday and I discovered the CU knows nothing and were given no details about the compromise. But that was enough for them kill my card and make my life hell. But they promised to send my a new card. So just check the mail box this morning and nothing (its now July 5th). So I've gone my entire holiday weekend without access to my cash. Big F'ing thanks Credit Union. So I called again to find out what the deal is... Discovered they didn't even bother to mail the card until June 28th and they didn't think it was important so they had it standard mailed instead of express. So I'm now without access to MY money for two weeks and it sounds like I won't get my new card for another week. So minimum of three weeks I'm to make due without my bank account. This is disgusting. I want someone's ass fired over this but nothing will happen. They don't give a crap and will not make anything right. So I'm in the process of looking for another financial institution to handle my paychecks. I'm also going to tell everyone I work with at Northrop about this horror story so they try and get away from mess before the CU gets a "tip" that they need their stuff f'ed up as well.

Angel2I use this CU and location as a service center. My main complaint is about how hard it is to get in touch with someone over the phone. I'm sent to a call center with a very long recording, none of the options apply to what I need. When I speak to the operator, he forwards me to the branch where I am sent straight to voicemail. I call back so he can connect me to someone else and I am forgotten on hold for 10 minutes! Why is it so hard to find someone, ANYONE to speak to? I have a simple question. Not to mention their website is littered with grammatical errors. I'm glad I am experiencing all of this without actually having to have an account with them. Now I know I never will.

Don Cline1Will not give out cash to non members of other credit unions because of Covid. I always got cash from them before. They give cash to members, but not non members. This is unacceptable conduct.

onelove111411This bank is horrible! You can’t pay online, you can’t pay over the phone, you HAVE to go to the bank. I think this is the only bank that is this outdated with technology. They also have horrible customer service. Don’t waste your time! There are other credit unions that are far better then this one!!
