Justin Eaves3recently joined up, financed my car through them, really like the bank and would love to use them for all my primary banking and I plan to as soon as they give their banking app a much overdue update! I cannot stand the format of their app or online banking web page. if it wasnt for that I'd give them 5 stars
Response from the ownerHi Justin - We hear you and it's coming! We're in the process of developing a new banking platform and plan to launch it sometime this summer. ~Jess

James Butterfield4I’ve been with Northeast since 2017. Never have an issue with anything but the debit cards. Y’all need to get Bluetooth on these things or stronger chips. After a couple months of using it my chip gets ruined and then it’s a hassle to pay for anything

Anthony Tripari5I had to go speak to someone about my account. I was immediately greeted by a gentleman named Philip Cleminson. It was a complicated situation but he assured me that it would all be taken care of by the time I left. Philip handled everything and I was out of there in 10 minutes. Thank you Philip!

Michelle Files5I was referred to Northeast by both my mother and sister-in-law who both stated what wonderful service they had received when opening accounts in the Exeter Branch, both starting through Auto Loans but with incentives ended with additional accounts for each. I set up an appt on line and was scheduled very quickly. Elizabeth Grygutis called me right on time and was so sweet and informative. She walked me through everything, answered every question I had, did not rush me and listened to all of my concerns. She took all of my information over the phone and told me she would be back to me an a couple of hours. True to her word, Elizabeth was back to me in a couple of hours with great news. Although she was out of the office the following day she worked it out with the branch manager Wendy Blouin so that I was able to go in the very next day to sign my paper work and have everything complete within 24 hours. This was the easiest and friendliest banking I have ever done. My sister-in-law worked with Terri, I was not able to meet Terri but from what I hear she is just as wonderful as Elizabeth and Wendy. Exeter Northeast Credit Union not only has great products it has an amazing team as well, I plan to be a customer for a very long time and will be recommending them to many that I know. Thank you Elizabeth & Wendy!!!

J F1I started an account at at Northeast Credit union because they were financing a vehicle purchase at Port City Nissan. First, I had to start a savings account because I could only pay the loan through their savings account. It is 2021 seems like an absurd process. So I had automatic payments setup from my regular savings to their savings and finally to pay the auto loan payments. It was going well until the automatic payments stopped. After hours on the phone(minimum wait time is 10 minutes. Once was over 45 minutes only to be hung up on and start the wait all over). I was told that the automatic payments weren't setup for the life of the loan. Infinite automatic payments aren't an option. You have to give an end date. Got that "resolved" only to have the automatic payments not go through the following month. At that point, it's easier to refinance(15 minutes for an online application) than waste hours on the phone trying to resolve THEIR issues. Since my loan was out of their hands, I went on the website and scheduled a transfer from NECU savings back to my regular savings. Guess what....didn't go through. Relegated to sitting on hold to tell them I want to close the account. Was given an email address to send a picture of a handwritten request to close the account. If you appreciate your time, there's easier solutions. You don't have to suffer through their caveman banking processes. I went against my better judgement and should have just financed through USAA. But I'm sure there's other banks that value their customer time and have processes that work and aren't so cumbersome.
Response from the ownerHello - I'm very sorry to hear you had a poor experience with us. This is not the member service we aim to provide. I will be relying this information back to our Member Services Team to look into it further. Thanks for your feedback. ~Jess

Rebecca Morrison5Once again, an awesome experience at NECU, Exeter branch. I switched from a "big bank" to this credit union back during the Occupy Wall St. days. So glad I did! Last week Terri Bourque set me up with a business checking/savings account, answered all of my questions, and even followed up with an email. If you're looking for a sturdy, local credit union that takes care of their members - NECU is the best. Business and personal checking is always free (w/$5 account balance) and so is the use of their coin machine! The Exeter staff is always friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this credit union!
Response from the ownerHi Rebecca - Thank you for your review. We are so happy to hear that our Exeter branch is taking such great care of you. Thanks for being a member!

Jon Felch1They didnt set my account up properly which resulted in an overdraft, when i payed off the fee the branch manager decided that i was only allowed to have a savings account until i was in "good standing", after their mistake.. Ill take my business to a bank that treats customers as customers not children.
Response from the ownerHi Jon – We’re sorry you feel this way, however, we do have safeguards in place to ensure the well-being of our institution as it’s member-owned.
