North American Savings Bank Reviews

alex pereira5Absolutely awesome to work with. This bank and especially loan officer Michael Thomas know how to deal with self employed borrowers. They do not shy away from the stack of paperwork sometimes SE folks need to deal with and understand how to work with those type of clients. We have done a number of loans with them and will continue doing business. Highly recommend.

Seth Hammond5Our experience with Joe Peter was great! We were looking to use a VA loan, and he helped us in a couple of days get a good rate and cash to close. He had very detailed notes that summarized everything we discussed. Unfortunately, we had to move forward with our builders lender, but it wasn’t due to Joe’s lack of ability.

Ashley White5We closed on our new home this week and I cannot say enough about NASB and Jason Larkins especially. Jason continuously went out of his way and above and beyond to help us keep our rate lock and smooth over many unexpected hurdles that we saw along the way. Jason was incredibly responsive, kind, collaborative throughout nearly a year of correspondence and he did everything he possibly could to make the daunting homebuying process MUCH easier on us. I cannot stress enough how helpful and easy Jason and the NASB team made it for my husband and I as FTHB!

Brian Mason5We just closed on our new home today and I wanted to give a shout out to NASB. Specifically Jason Larkins and Sandy Ulmer!! We have now done a few loans with this dream team and will continue to use them moving forward. Jason is so incredibly thorough with his explanations and walked us through every step to the point where we never had to question what was next. As our 20th real estate transaction in our lifetime, this is actually not all that common. We often were left feeling like we had to do most of the communicating and work....NOT with Jason and Sandy! There rates were competitive and fees were actually pretty low for a home loan. If you look at my other reviews, you will know this is not a fake review and I am not personal friends with either of these professionals. In fact, they are in Kansas City, MO and I live in Las Vegas. With mortgage rates getting crazy these days, it is tougher to find the right place to get a loan. I HIGHLY recommend calling NASB and asking for Jason Larkins. I am confident he will give you the same amazing service that he and Sandy did for us.

Ben Bohn5Have used steve for two mortgages. Best rate I could find both times by nearly a percent. Lowest closing costs as well. Very friendly. Bends over backwards to communicate and give you all the options. Was sending me pre-approval letters 24/7 as we were submitting offers. I did shop around, but I couldn’t find anyone to beat their rates. Not every mortgage company works the same for all buyers, but if you’re a VET with good credit, you cannot do better.

Christopher Stibbs5I used NASB (Jim Alderman Team) for my home loan a few years ago and they were absolutely WONDERFUL to work with! It was my first home purchase and I was clueless, but they made the process smooth and easy! One of the things that drew me to them was their charitable footprint in the metro! NASB supports so many wonderful charities and for me, it was a no brainer! I am grateful for Jim, John, and the entire team that made the mortgage process so easy! Thank you, NASB!

David Elliott1For context: I have completed (5) VA loans and own multiple properties. I really cannot say enough bad about North American Savings Bank. Do not use them under any circumstance. Where to begin... 1) They miscalculated the cash due at closing on one of my houses... twice. The number increased from $0 to $12k to $18k. I found out about the final jump in cash required the day before closings. 2) They failed to send a federally required disclosure, resulting in my first closing being canceled. 3) They failed to pay the insurance on the property, resulting in the property being uninsured for over two months. I had to pay the late fees from my insurance company out of pocket and still (a month later) have not been reimbursed. They have no idea where my escrow is and refused to give me an accounting of it required by federal law. There are many more stories of ineptitude but long-story short, I am paying $3-4k out of pocket to refinance my loan at virtually the same rate, just so I do not need to deal with these incompetent hacks anymore. Once I close, I'll be forwarding my complaints and supporting documents to HUD, the VA, and FHA.
