This has been our favorite financial institution for several years. After opening an account designed for children today, we now have six account holders in the house. The benefits are solid. The staff at this branch were very helpful and friendly, especially Terri. The facilities are always very fresh and clean, especially this branch. We remain happy, loyal MidFlorida clients.

Thanks to the Vero Beach branch's Kimberly Wagner's dogged determination I was able to resolve a thorny problem with Midflorida's administration. She saw the previous decision that was made in my case as a very poor business decision on Midflorida's part and managed to have the decision reversed. Again, thanks Kim!

I really do not know how to rate this MidFlorida...After trying several times to open an account with them, they finally allowed me to open an account with restrictions. I proved my loyalty and the restrictions were removed. Few years later with a better credit score, I tried first for a secured account card (denied) Then I tried a unsecured card (Denied) Waited a year later with and even better credit score tried for the $500 credit card (denied) . Tried with a co-signer and his credit score is 745 and mine is a 690 (Denied). Opened and account with Navy Federal with in three months I am now the owner of a Mazda cx-5, 2020.... no co-signer. I was told by someone Midflorida employees and credit department- show dislike to races other than Caucasian , I believe that now..... I have said this before. I was alerted them faithfully when they made a $7000 mistake into my account....All I got in return was "Okay its done we took care of it". No--- thank you. It was when I told them how I felt about it, is when they gave me a $25 dollars gift card.... Not very happy with MIDFLORIDA, but I love the customer service....This is what earned the Two stars.....

I have banked with Wells , BOA and other banks in the past. They treat you as though your money is theirs. The representatives that I have had contact with at Midflorida are always helpful and friendly. Extended drive through hours , Saturday banking and personal banking are additional Pluses. I don’t know what took me so long to transfer my deposits over to Midflorida. They do banking the old fashion way.

I use Mid Florida credit union as a shared branch to my credit union in michigan. I've live in Florida now for 7 years and have always used Mid Florida CU well now with covid out there for some unknown reason they are not dealing with shared branch transactions and here I sit with 2 Federal checks that NEED to be deposited and they wint do it. What does social distancing have to do with performing shared branch transactions? Not happy!

      Response from the owner

Hi Lori, I’m so sorry that we weren’t able to assist you while the lobbies were closed. Due to a high risk of fraud, we are not able to perform Shared Branching transactions via the drive-thru. -Rebecca

I would give this review a zero if able. Each time I’ve gone in the employees have always seemed like they don’t want to be here, but having just moved to the area I was willing to take what I could get. That is until this last situation. My vehicle payment has to be paid through a co-op branch and this is the closest (from Palm Bay). I hurried down on Saturday and even tried to call to let them know that traffic would have me coming in just barely under the wire. I was able to get to the main hub but at 15-20 mins before closing they had already forwarded their calls and they were unable to reach anyone. I got there 4 mins after 1 and hurried to the drive-thru to be told that they couldn’t do it through the drive thru due to co-op contract regulations (which is odd since I never had an issue with it before). Panicking (no one wants a late payment) I confirmed with the girl that they would be open till 7 on Monday and that I’d be able to come after work. I got there at 6 mins after 5 today, just in time to see them locking the door. In tears at this point, I go around to the drive thru to ask why I was told they would be open till 7. I was told again that it had to be done inside unless I had an account with them (also not something I have ever been told by a co-op branch). The older lady came out, repeated the information I had already expressed understanding about (my main issue was that I had been told they’d be open) and said that she “was in the middle of something, but would be willing to do a favor” by opening me a 5$ savings account. At that point I left. I will find a different bank to work through, this one may be closer but it’s not worth the poor service, suspect regulations, and condescension.

We have an account here sadly theyre offering Pay Half Payments on your loans for its loyal customers, Except, if you have overdrawn or even just been late on your loan payment. Thanks for the email with such an incredible offer to helping others. I just dont understand how that helps the ones who have suffered during this epidemic, financially, not only do they charge you for the fees of course but your too lowly to qualify for their epidemic relief assistance. Huh. Thanks for email. No thanks for the insult to injury.

      Response from the owner

Hi Cynthia, I'm so sorry to hear about this and would like to help! Can you please send an email to [email protected] with the first and last name on your account and the best phone number for us to reach you? -Rebecca

My experiences with Mid Florida have been excellent and staff were enormously helpful for both little and major banking concerns. Sometimes a bit of a wait to see someone on the floor but that's every bank. When I first moved to VB I was under a LOT of stress (just about everything that could go wrong did) and by the time I got to MFCU to open a checking account, I was unraveling. I got all the help I needed plus understanding. The coffee and popcorn is a nice touch too. Thank you to Kerry and the whole staff.

Horrible customer service. After 16 years of being a loyal customer, my mother in laws check from a life insurance company was placed on a hold. The branch manager was not compassionate and did not show any empathy. She blatantly refused to offer any assistance. Honestly, she showed more concern for the Caucasian man waiting. I would never recommend this bank to anyone.
